Looking for LIVE TV Solutions without paying a cable subscription.

Only find CBS, SKY NEWS, BLOOMBERG.

Any others I am not aware of ?

There's Auntie Player for BBC content, but it's not exactly legal, and requires side loading through XCode.

Shocked other networks haven't followed CBS and HBO and offered streaming subscription plans.

i got the new apple TV - very disappointed - I was looking for live tv so I can cut the cord- this new app tv is 99% garbage- CBSN is the only channel i watched and it was more commercials than content- my impression is this is a sewer pipe of advertisements- rant over...

Thanks for posting. I'm loving the idea of this. Looking into the hardware now. Is there any DVR capabilities with the Silicondust hardware like with Tablo? Not a big deal since I use it OTA mainly for sports so I'd want it mainly for my own instant replay. That's the main thing I miss since I dumped cable.

I'm officially impressed. Wish I didn't have so much money already invested in Elgato and Hauppauge tuners...

I have this app with my hdhomerun and it is pretty buggy. The video stutters and the audio goes in and out. I think it will be good at some point but it has a ways to go yet. I also have a Tablo and the Shield tv app is outstanding. I am hoping the app for the Atv 4 will be the same

Wish I had read this before I went out and bought a second-hand HDhomerun and the Channels app xD

Just installed it, works pretty good so far. I do wish they had some basic time shifting capability. Mainly a rewind function. Also the remote seems to be a bit sensitive as far as changing a channel.
Yes, working well for me too. PVR function would be nice, but I like to be able to check the local news without grabbing another remote, so this is more than satisfactory.

I want to get this but do I need an hdhomerun device with a cable card slot if I plan to use this with Comcast ?

The ones with cable cards cost $130 vs the $80 without it
