Yes, I hooked mine up texted to the router (had an antenna connection there too) and I'm streaming to both my bedroom and great room TVs.
Just wondering: What's the difference of great room? Is it called like that in your house plans?

If I read correctly, you must buy an annual subscription to the forthcoming Silicon Dust DVR software for the EPG data, but doesn't the HD Homerun give you EPG information if you use it with the Kodi plugin?

The $30 is only for the DVR Service. I use the Apple TV Channels App (which shows "Live" EPG Information) and you only pay for the App. I believe same for other clients.

So basically Silicon Dust is just trying to institute a annual subscription model just for the DVR software? I am seriously considering returning to my Tivo to use as an OTA tuner since I can get a lifetime sub for $99.

How are you managing this deal?

The TIVO has some nice features especially with the BOLT (skip commercials etc) but I guess with the Bolt the Lifetime is pretty expensive. I was looking at it because I felt the annual cost was not that much considering the benefit. But since I have 8 TV's I wanted a whole home solution where I could only use the ATV's connected to the TV. I understand there is a Amazon Fire TV App that can take the place of the TIVO Mini but without all of the features. Was hoping they might create an Apple TV App but when I ask they said they had no plans (at least at this time). Anyway, I don't have a problem with the $30 per year for the DVR Service "if" it works well. Still in BETA and has a bit to go for me.

UPDATE: $30 spread across 8 TV's makes is seem pretty small as well.

sorry should have clarified that I have an old TivoHD which was on a monthly subscription with Tivo for 12.95 per month for years. Then I finally cancelled the service and they "offered" me the option to buy a lifetime service for it for $99.

from wikipedia:
A great room is a room space within an abode which combines the specific functions of several of the more traditional room spaces into a singular unified space. Great rooms are typically at or near the center of the house, feature raised ceilings, and have been common in American homes since the early 1990s.

For me mine is the family room and kitchen. The two "rooms" flow into each other with no dividing wall. The whole space is about 40'x20'. This is a pretty common set-up for the last 20 or 30 years, at least here in AZ.
