MacRumors will be providing live coverage of Apple CEO Tim Cook's interview with Walt Mossberg and Kara Swisher at D10: All Things D live this evening from Rancho Palos Verdes, California. The interview begins at 6PM Pacific / 9PM Eastern. It's the first major interview that Cook has given since he became CEO last August.

A number of Apple executives are also on the attendee list, including PR chief Katie Cotton and Senior Vice President of Marketing Phil Schiller, although they will not be speaking at the event.

All Things D was the only conference that Steve Jobs regularly attended where he sat down for public one-on-one interviews, including one famous sit-down where Jobs and Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates shared the stage.

The interview will not be live streamed, but videos of conference interviews have traditionally been available for viewing soon after the shows.

Kara Swisher? Is she that really annoying woman who interviewed Steve Jobs & Bill Gates together, and knew absolutely nothing about technology or their companies? She was relentlessly annoying please don't let it be her.

just sayin' :)

Go Tim. Should be an interesting watch.

What's the question you'd like him to get most? (realistically)

No live stream?

Waiting for the video then, should be easier to stay online between end of the show and video release than with Apple keynotes. :D

Someone ask the D10 people where they found those comfy-looking chairs. I need a new desk chair.

I simply don't get why Walt gets access to Apples top people. He is such a third rate interviewer/journalist. Maybe Steve found him easy to control and that's the only reason why Walt got the interviews.

And Swisher - don't even get me started on her stupidity.

The really sad part is that being interviewed by Swisher and Walt makes anyone who's intervied by them look a little dumber.

Those chairs do look really good!

Walt is great, but Swisher has all the interview skills of a dead cuttlefish. Hopefully Walt will take the lead and Swisher will just melt into the background.

Swisher would be a lot less embarrassing to her employer overlords if only she would read scripted questions she runs by Walt before the interview for pithiness, accuracy, and relevance. If she can't do that, she should defer to another correspondent.

I always was interested in replaying the interviews to watch Jobs' and Gates' reactions to her incoherent questions. It proves professional entitlement for any reason is a bad thing.

It's both Swisher and Walt.

Yes again. I think it always is those two for the headliners.

I don't think either Mossberg or Swisher colored themselves in glory when Gates and Jobs were up there together on stage. It was unfortunate they both tried to interject so much with the most inane comments. It was still a very special interview with two great men from our industry, but they really wrecked something that should have been so much more memorable.

What are the odds that either Walt asks Cook about the Mac Pros, or that Cook subtly hints at their existence? Would be a great place to do it.
