This was what I did actually, Cydia> Manage > Sources > click "edit" at the top right> then on the left click "add" . I tried and tried until it lets me add it and after several rebooting and trying, I finally got it!

Now I have a bigger problem! lmao

I uninstalled my intelliscreen cause the trial period ended, it won't let me use the app although it said I am a premium member. :confused: I was looking for the crack of its latest version until I saw this thread, LockInfo. I saw some very cool images posted in here so thought to replace intelliscreen to LockInfo. Unfortunately for me, this one needs a lot of SSHing. T_T
I've been dancing away from this kind of method, have no idea how to do it and I am scared that I might be doing wrong along the process and would screw my phone! This, I cannot let happen. :p

So, I will be doing the 3rd option I have, buy intelliscreen and crossed fingers it won't give me the usual crashing issues. :sniffs:

Waaaah ~ If only someone can help me do the SSH spoonfeed style! As in from step 1 to last and tell me what terminal means and blah blah blah :p
 
Hey guys again, I come now with a tip and a question.

First things first, I started, as you all, using 20 Second Lockscreen to make it stay on for longer but sometimes 20 seconds just isn't enough right, so I downloaded Supreme Preferences 3.0 an there's an option where you can configure it to 5, 10, 15, 20, 30 seconds, 1 ,2 ,5 minutes or never, currently I have it set under 2 minutes (Settings > Supreme Preferences 3.0 > Moible Substrate > Dim Lock Screen In). Hope it helps some of you.

Now my question, is there anyway to make a preview of the emails to appear in the lockscreen like with an SMS.

Ps: in order to use Supreme Preference's timer you need to uninstall 30 Second Lockscreen.
 
Is there any way in the config.js to restrict the calendar to only showing events for the current day (or maybe today and tomorrow?)

Also Sky76: I own licenses for both Intelliscreen and a couple of other "Rock Your Phone" apps. I consider the money lost as all of their apps seem to conflict with one or more other jailbreak apps. Also, considering they charge a lot for their apps, their tech support is pathetic.

Actually that just controls the Calendar Event Count in the section bar, it doesn't control what events actually show. At least that is my experience with it.

has anyone come up with some decent layouts that they would be willing to share?

In the iPhones default settings app, there shld now be a lockinfo link near the bottom. Click that, then calendar. There's an option there to set how many days show :)

Not that I know of. If there is it was not discussed in this thread.

That would be neat though if it could be done.

Have you checked out GriP ?

When an e-mail comes in, it opens a notification box, just tap on notification box to open message, option to delete, read or launch full mail app from there.

Is there anyway people can post their modifications for this app so that those of us that don't want to do all the customization can just ssh and drop this in to get lockinfo working with a nice customized look?
 
okay, this is pretty fun, but I am pretty darn lost!

I've downloaded LockInfo and have figured out how to SSH into my phone. Now I understand that to get the weather forecast to show up on my lockscreen I need to install a theme. Is there a theme out there that is jut he basic iphone theme? I want my phone to look mostly stock, but with the weatherinfo n the lock screen. Is that possible?

For a lockscreen theme, you need LockInfo (which you have) the actual lockinfo theme if you want the weather to appear on the lockscreen. Plus you probably want Lockscreen clock hide and 20second lockscreen.

I know it sounds dumb, but this is probably all above my head. I can't find "Lock Info Theme", just references to the Gruppel theme and I don't want that... perhaps I'm misunderstanding the concept. I'm lookign for it in Cydia as well.

I can get my emails to show up by using the LockInfo area in my settings screens, but nothing else. I'll keep trying to figure this out...

Question about Lockinfo update. Will it break all of my configurations and customizations?
 
One of the calendars I sync to is icalx.com which I initially started using with the Firefox extension ReminderFox. ReminderFox has a function where the descriptions for birthday calendar entries can contain the year in <>'s and it converts to the persons age when displayed. I hacked together the following nasty code to enable LockInfo to display this as well:

Edit the file Gruppled LockInfo.theme/Bundles/com.ashman.LockInfo/js/lockinfo.js

Find the line that looks like:

Now if a calendar entry says "Joe Bob's <1968> Birthday", it will display as "Joe Bob's 41st Birthday".

Now I just need to change the font color or add some other type of highlighting for todays events and this will be perfect!
 
Can anybody tell me what im doing wrong?..I want the simply skinny slider that most people have on here but for some reason this is what im getting.

After spending the entire day trying to figure out how to get this theme to work, I've finally got it the way I like it.

One thing that I don't think anyone explained (at least not that I read) is that the major difference between the two main themes available (LI Matte and Gruppled) is that LI Matte is completely customisable from within the settings menu. Plus is has plugins for things like RSS, status notifier, Things and others. The only problem I had with it was that it just isn't as nice looking as the other one. Plus some of the plugins were just redundant.

Gruppled may look hard to configure at first, and you do need OpenSSH and a FTP client (I used Cyberduck) but if you're new to all this like I am, then configuring this theme is a great way to get stuck in and learn a lot about them.

I love some of the sliders being used with this, but I've stuck with the stock ones. I just prefer the way they look. Plus I'm using Matte UI with a grey wallpaper and I have animation enabled so it all kind of fits in for me.

EDIT. Oh and I downloaded 60 second autolock today. Much more useful than the 20sec one plus you don't have to bother downloading BossPrefs.
