Hey, I figure I can just try it to see if it works, but thought I'd check first.

Is it possible to run this without winterboard?

I'm currently using it through WB but I hate how much it laggs my phone. I am thinking I can just take the files and write over (after backing up, of course) the default system files in the given folders.

Is this going to work? I've done this with several themes before but I'm not so sure about this because it may run a little deeper.

The LockInfo extension runs thru Winterboard as well as weather theme and LockInfo Theme, so I doubt it. You might get LockScreen stuff to work, but the notifications and weather forecasts would never update.

Status Bar Icons

Followed the instructions to get lockscreen up and running and it worked like a charm. Very cool and better than intelliscreen in my opinion. Quick question, how are you guys changing the logos in the status bar at the top? I like the one that has appeared in this thread several times (#375 is one instance) that has the globe next to AT&T and has the blue and white WiFi logo instead of the standard curved bars. How can I change these icons?

Ran into my first hickup in modding my theme. Something I did that stopped my headings (mail, missed calls, etc) from collapsing and uncollapsing. I cannot get the sections to expand and collapse anymore. I thought it was because I removed the arrows and so I went back to my config file and put the arrows back in. That did not fix the problem. I have been working with the config file extensively and I still cannot see what I did to cause this error.

Anyone have any suggestions as I really do not want to re-install the theme again and start my mods all over again

ATT Carrier Icon on cydia. Dunno about the wifi one.

Thanks to everyone on this forum I am finally complete getting my lockscreen where I want to. thank goodness, now I can finally get some sleep after almost a week and a half of total slaving to get this phone where I want it. And it is indeed fabulous.

I am only going to do one last step and that is to place the long narrow lock screen slide in place of the largwer slide. I am tired of re-reading this entire post to locate the changer steps. Can someone please direct me where in the directory is the slide string located to make the change and where will I get the code for the narrow slide. Then I am finished. I know it is in the 30 page thread somewhere it is just that I am so exhausted from dealing with this for almost two weeks

Thanks everyone

Wow

Just recently discover this wonderful app and I love it! Big thanks to the developer. A donation is on the way. I encourage anyone else that loves the app to do the same.

Maybe a simple question, but is it possible to make it so you can scroll through your info screen and have it not snap back to the top? I get a lot of emails and events and such and I'd like to be able to scroll down and see everything on the screen. I've played with some of the settings and sometimes... it works for a bit but then stops and starts snapping back again.

Also, if this is possible, it is possible to lock the clock widget thing to the top and let the other parts scroll?

You can scroll, but as soon as you let go of the screen, it will snap back.

After a bit of messing about I finally got this to work and it looks good.

A simple question I hope, how do I get the sections headings (Mail, Calendar etc) to be left aligned rather than centred?

Yea, but there is no way to turn off the snapping? I feel like I've done it before but it didn't stay. I edited the config file to do so.

Also, you can't scroll that much because if something is still off screen you can't scroll again to see it.

You have to edit your config.js file I believe. I forget it's location but I'm sure a quick google will find it.

I have already been editing that file to get my lockscreen set up but didn't find anything that looked like it would do this.

What do you edit to make it show more dates and events? I would like mine to cap out like at two weeks to a month on the lock screen.

thanks,

ill :confused:

I just want to give a shout out publicly to IBRADMAC for his committment, dedication, and good will that he demonstrated privately. I reached out for his assistance via private PMs with an issue that I was having with for over a week. He devotedly spent a couple of hours communicating with me through PMs and emails, even sending me screen (camera) shots for directions and instructions.

Through his efforts I was able to finally address and get over an issue that I was struggling with for a week. It is because of people like IBRADMAC that makes the public forum vehicle usable and pleasureable.

Again, Ibradmac, I want to publicly thank you for the consideration and thoughtfulness you showed me privately

Hey, So I got it to work without winterboard. :D I emailed David Ashman (The creator of LockInfo) and he wrote me back this:

You should be able to drop anything that's in a Themes/<theme>/Bundles directory into /Library/LockInfo/Plugins directory except for com.ashman.LockInfo. Those files would reside directly in /Library/LockInfo/.

dave

Anyone interested, here you go!

It worked like a charm. I did this all with iFile, but probably easier via some client on the computer.

Warning: ALWAYS backup your files.

First thing I did was copy my /Library/LockInfo folder and rename it _LockInfo so I'd have a backup. Then I just did what he said. Pasted the contents of the com.ashman.LockInfo to /Library/Lockinfo/ from my Gruppled theme folder.

Next, to get some of the springboard elements to work you have to modify your Springboard.app... Backing up is VERY important here.

I looked in the Themes/Gruppled/com.apple.springboard/ and put the images in there in my springboard.app file. I renamed all the originals from *.png to *.png.backup. The reason I did this so so I can create a script to restore my springboard by just doing
Code:
mv *.backup *
which should replace all my files that I modified with the originals.

Enjoy your "snappier" Lockscreen Info!

NOTE: The LockInfo package in Cydia has a dependency tied to Winterboard. You can't remove Winterboard after doing this or Cydia will remove the Lockinfo install as well. Does anyone know where I can get the Lockinfo package to install manually?

You need to edit the structure.css file. It's located in Gruppled/Bundles/com.ashman.lockinfo/css. Find this text...

.header {
height:18px;
line-height:18px;
font-size:12px;
color:white;
padding-top:2px;
font-weight:bold;
text-align:left;
background-image:url(../images/bar.png);
background-repeat:no-repeat;
clear:both;
text-shadow: rgba(0, 0, 0, 0.75) 0px -1px 1px !important;
}

That should do it.

It is possible but it is a major pain in the ass and it doesn't work for everyone. Mine is set like that, but for some reason it wouldn't work on Dhlizard's. I can send you my theme if you would like to try it though.
