It's under the iPhone "Settings" then under "LockInfo" then adjust "Background Transparency" with the slider.

Would you mind telling what weather theme you are using on you lock screen? Where can I get it and how did you install it? I'm using the "Tick" theme right now, but I like yours better. I downloaded a .zip file months ago and put the weatherxxx.png files along with a .plist file in the specified directory but haven't seen any other packages that I could do the same thing with.

Thanks...

I tried changing the Background Transparency but it doesnt seem to do much :(

Yeah, weather is just from the Lockinfo plugin's

Does anyone know how to get my "weather icon" (Apple weather icon) to display the same images as the "stock" weather icons on the LockInfo lock screen using the weather plug-in?

I downloaded a .zip file months ago and SSH'd all of the weatherxxx.png files ("TICK" weather theme) along with the com.ashman.WeatherIcon.plist file into the /System/Library/CoreServices/SpringBoard.app directory and everything worked great. My "Apple Weather Icon" matched the weather icons (status bar and weather plug-in) on my Lock Screen and that was before the Dev decided to include weather icons for the plug-in.

I like the newer icon themes better and removed all the weatherxxx.png files ("TICK" weather theme) along with the com.ashman.WeatherIcon.plist file and now I have the stock icons in the plug-in but now I don't have a status bar icon or an icon overlaying the stock Apple weather like I had before, they are just blank. I should mention that I do have a "transparent background" that I still have in place but the way I used to have things set up, it would overlay the weather icon on top of the background.

I SSH'd the files back in to show more of a visual explanation of what I'm trying to achieve (the reason the time is kinda backwards on the pics). I didn't change any other settings and I did try a few toggles and re-springing.

Thanks in advance for any help...

Do you have David Ashman's WeatherIcon downloaded from Cydia and then in settings make sure it is set to modify the Apple weather app.

The multitude of stuff you wrote was confusing (at least to me) so I may not understand the issue.

Sorry for the confusion. That's why I showed a before and after pics.

I do have the Weather Icon app downloaded (that's why the 18 deg. shows up beside the "Transparent Icon"and on the Status Bar.

The first two pics show my Lock Screen, Status Bar and stock Apple Weather Icon with the weatherxxx.png files and the com.ashman.WeatherIcon.plist SSH's into the Springboard.app directory.

I followed these directions after downloading the .rar file with the .png files and .plist

You need LockInfo installed in native mode and you need WeatherIcon installed.

To install the images you need to connect to the phone using SSH.

On the phone navigate to the folder:

/System/Library/CoreServices/SpringBoard.app

Just drop the contents of the .rar into that folder including file com.ashman.WeatherIcon.plist

All images are called weatherXXX.png so just check if there are any already in that folder of the same name.
Respring (possibly twice..) and the icons should be there in the weather plugin.

Here is the result:

img0076.png
img0075b.png

And here are my settings that I did not change in WeatherIcon (same for both sets of pics).

img0077.png

I did the reverse and deleted all of those files and tried the Weather plug-in with "stock" or built-in weather icons you see in the second set of pics. Now I don't have an icon on my Status bar or on my stock Apple weather icon (I still have the "transparent background" .png files in place) but it still shows the real temperature (18 deg.).

Here is the result:

img0072.png
img0066w.png

What I'm trying to do is get the same weather icon on the status bar and the stock Apple weather app as the one that is showing next to the city and under the day of the week (Sun) for today. Just like it does in the first set of pics.

Again, sorry the first post was so muddled. I hope this one explains it a litte better.

Thanks again for your help...

No Icons for Weather?

Can someone help me through this? I have installed the Native App from Cydia for WeatherIcon Lockinfo but no matter what location I put in I get no icons. I have changed themes, resprung and rebooted.

You would think we should be able to help each other. We have the exact opposite problem. But needless to say, I can't figure either out.

There are a great bunch of people here with a vast knowledge of what we both need to do. Just a little patience and we'll figure it out. :)

Me too, I have Weathericon and Lockinfo but cant get the icon on the status bar

Pat,

Are you using the default lockinfo theme? It looks different from my default setup.

I used a few different add ons. I used the like to Cydia to install the Native app. I installed a couple different Winterboard add ons. After resprings and reboots I still can't get anything to show up when I unfold the weather I still have nothing.

I also had problems using the native weather app that was built into LockInfo. I forgot what it said. Something about not being supported.

don't you think it is quite redundant to have 4 weather apps, the weather on one of the icons, in your status bar, and on your lockscreen and homescreen too? It's not like the weather changes that often, that you need to have 4 different sources to check against for the latest updates lol.

Anyways... seems to me that your problem is from deleting certain files. I'd try deleting anything at all to do with weathericon and just redownload it and see if you can't get it to work. Sounds like you have some left over files, or might have deleted files you needed so now it's not displaying properly. Good luck!

So, those of you with WeatherIcon issues, I may have some advice that can help.

Since the split of WeatherIcon and the WeatherIcon plugin for LI you will notice that the exact icons can vary between the two.

I would recommend installing a new WI theme to cover both. You can use the one I have and that I've posted in the past.

https://forums.macrumors.com/posts/8640795/

That's the Katra theme and instructions on installing. This will do your statusbar, LockInfo AND your Weather Icon.

After this is in place, you can replace the images in your springboard.app with whatever theme you want. If you change the images, you may have to edit the configuration file included in the .zip to change the scaling (0-1) to size the icons for each view (LockScreen, Statusbar, Icon). Hope this helps!

Thanks ViViDboarder!, you bail me out again.

I'll give this a try when I get home from work. This is exactly how I did the "Tick" theme (just paste everything in the zip folder to /System/CoreServices/Springboard.app/). I just missed the post you pointed me to, probably because I wasn't really looking at the time when you posted it.

Thanks again...

No problem! That post was from a while ago in a different thread, so you didn't miss anything.

With Gruppled HTML none of these settings will work. You can use Gruppled Art because it has a native LockInfo theme.

I'm assuming you want to change the transparency of the section headers (the bars that say calendar, phone, etc...). The only way to do this is to edit the images that are being used.

To edit the default ones they are in /Library/LockInfo/SectionHeaders.png

To edit the ones with Gruppled Art /[your themes folder]/Gruppled Art.theme/somewhere in here you should see the sectionheaders.

You can change the transparency easily in Gimp. :D

Ok thanks, I used the Gruppled theme with WB a while back but ditched WB as iam on the 3G...can I install the Gruppled art theme without WB?

Thats a shame about the transparency :(

Ok thanks, I used the Gruppled theme with WB a while back but ditched WB as iam on the 3G...now lockinfo doesnt use WB iam using it again so was hoping to use the Gruppled theme :)

Oh, then you can apply the theme manually. I have put directions here... a good number of times, haha.

Basically you need to replace the sectionheader.png files from lockinfo with the ones from the gruppled art theme. That's about it.

Ok cool, do you have a link for gruppled art theme there? :D
