Hey all. So for battery issues, I need syslogs. Send them to iphone-support (at) ashman (com). I'll take a look and see if I see anything odd. It's always a good idea to do a hard reboot (not a respring) if your battery usage changes dramatically. It may just be a rogue process running on your phone.

In terms of changelogs, I do not update the changelogs for beta releases... there are just too many of them. I do generally post a tweet with the changes, but if the update is just to fix a minor issue (some of the recent ones were just to fix some bad files in the package), I don't post anything. I will tweet any significant changes. If there is no tweet, assume it was just a minor tweak somewhere of no consequence to most users. I will update the real changelog on final release.

Battery issue resolved

My battery issues do not appear to be caused by LockInfo.

Tried a bunch of things (respring, remove apps, reboot, restoring 4.0.1 from backup) that didn't work, I found a thread that mentioned Exchange accounts causing battery drain.

One of my accounts (cal/contacts/email) is an Exchange server. I deleted the account on the phone and set it up again from scratch - happily this made my battery drain issues go away.

I had just traveled from the East Coast to California and back; I think something about changing time zones messed up my iPhone - Exchange sync process.

Sorry for hijacking the thread - but thought that this might be helpful to others who responded to my post.

Thanks for the good work David!

OK thanks,
Any way to be informed other than Twitter?
I hate twitter. :p

Could you link the thread you found that in? I have my gmail account set up as an Exchange account. Of course, I've had it like that for a year, and the issue is only days old. But still.

You're not supposed to "go to" that url. You need to add it as a repo in Cydia. Is that what you're doing?

Ummmmm...no...only a complete and utter moron would do something like...yes I was doing that.

Great App

Hello all,

I am a new user on my second day of my trial. With LI, plus Pop-up blocker, both of which I am going to buy soon, I have made my iPhone so much more effective. I have been able to block push notifications while still getting all my tweets from Notifier both locked screen and unlocked. Love the mail and phone abilities. My question is is are the only features the beta versions have are better icons, the status bar icons and the silent mode indicator. It seems buggy on a lot of people, and I don't know if I want to invest the time to re-set up everything if that is the only upgrade. Please let me know.

Deleted all of my IMAP accounts and recreated them, will report back if I notice any difference - thanks for the suggestion.

RSS Plug in need urgently

Dear Developer,

Just like the mail plug in, can you give us the ability to go through the expanded view of the RSS items without having to close and expand each item?

Much appreciated in advance.

Anyone know how to turn the status bar icon for the silent switch? It seems that it's not controlled by the phone plugin and I can't seem to find the toggle anywhere.

It's a neat idea, but I'm not impressed with the look. If it was similar in appearance to the rotation lock icon I'd be more likely to keep it around.

Wondering if anyone has any issues with SMS messaging? Noticed beginning this morning, I haven't received any notification when a texts comes in. No sound, no lockscreen notification, not even even an icon badge on the SMS app. The only things I've done to my phone was update LockInfo and Activator yesterday.

My SMS is working properly. I am running the latest beta of LockInfo, the latest Activator, and the latest beta of biteSMS 5.0.

Just noticed there's a new switch in the SMS plugin for "Third Party Support". I turned it on and all is well. (I'm using quickreply)

Thanks for checking, sidewinder.

Yeah, this really had me tearing my hair out today. Got half a dozen texts without knowing they had arrived which almost ruined my day... They should have at least have made the defaults not change the behavoiur of the phone... Thank heavens for this forum!

Heres the beta issue im having

This is a post i used to answer someone on another thread but had a misleading title...

I need to install syslog and get the logs over to david.

heres whats happening with the latest beta.. the latest beta sort of broke the stock message alerts...

if you set up lock info properly, using the stock app you should be able to select "Improved Performance". when you do this, lockinfo will mark all txts as read the instant they arrive. Meaning, you dont get ANY alerts about incoming messages. the fix is, to turn on off Improved Performance if your using the stock SMS app. this fixes the alerts, but re-introduces the delay...

Does anybody else have the problem with the phone plugin where when you press on the missed call at the lockscreen, the phone freezes and has to be rebooted? I used to be able to press the missed call and the person's contact info would show up and I could call back. Haven't changed any settings that I know of, even tried turning the phone plugin off and back on and respringing with no luck.
