Got mine today, opened the box and the 'enter' key piece is missing. I find it on the left side of the box. The outer box it came in had no bubble wrap inside for protection, but outer box didn't look damaged when I received it. I try to clip the enter key back in place, but it doesn't seat right and pops back out with minimal bumping.

So I call Logitech and get put on ignore for awhile; but as I'm at work, I give up on that and try to log in online, but Logitech website doesn't recognize the email/pass I had set up earlier, even though I know it was correct, so I make a new account. I still can't find any help in making an immediate return so try phone support again, and after about 10-15 minutes I get to talk with Chris. I tell Chris how the keyboard arrived and he sets up a return to ship it UPS back to Logitech for free (better be), and they'd 2-day ship a new keyboard to me when they receive the other one.

But first Chris tries to tell me that they'll send me a black keyboard - I quickly correct him, that the windows version is black, not the Mac version. He tries to tell me that the Mac version comes in different colors, so I have to explain the product to tech support person Chris, since I seem to know more about it than he does. I explain that there's different colors on the Mac keyboard, but only at the top, the rest of the keyboard is light colored. He finally finds the correct replacement keyboard.

I'm not impressed Logitech.

I think you need to be a little bit nicer to Logitech Support. It seems Chris definitely does know what he's talking about as there's clearly a black Mac keyboard listed on their website.

I'd say he is full of ******.

I just ordered one with 25% off + free ship. I hope I like it. In regards to the bluetooth, the Tech Support told me that it would be impossible for the keyboard to be solar powered and bluetooth at the same time. I'm not sure he is right about that.

I received mine direct from Logitech last week - it's beautifully made and matches my Mac toys nicely. I have yet to connect it, but I'll report back when I do.

But Chris WAS looking at the pc keyboard instead of the mac keyboard in our conversation.

I ordered a white one. The first one shows up damaged. I'm told to ship it back and will receive another 2-day shipped as soon as they receive the broken one. Logitech received the broken one back on Monday and emailed me they had received it.

I received the replacement keyboard 5 business days instead of 2 (got it today). It's a 750 Mac keyboard and yes they do make a Mac 750 in black, because that's what they sent. BUT I ORDERED A WHITE ONE. Will hook it up in a bit and see if it works.

I'm very unimpressed. This was not rocket science, a white mac 750 keyboard.

What the Apple version is missing is a toouchpad or trackball. Pointless of Logitech to release this me-too stuff with a 5 cent calculator solar cell tacted on, instead of addressing the market need.

Really love this keyboard. Haven't even given the apple wireless keyboard a thought.

I much prefer the layout - I can't understand why normal Mac keyboards are missing a delete keyv for example. For me this keyboard is much better than the standard Apple wireless one I'm typing this on with my iPad 2.

I received mine last week and so far I like it. The Enter key on the keypad was off the keyboard when I opened it, but it was easy enough to snap back on. The one complaint I have is that the function keys can't be used as standard function keys, despite what I have set in System Preferences. This has been reported by quite a few people on Amazon. This is a pain point for me because I do a lot of coding on my Mac and use the function keys for stepping through code. The plastic finish also doesn't come close to the sexiness of the Apple keyboard, but of course Apple doesn't offer a wireless keyboard with a keypad. Other than that, it's a pretty cool keyboard.

EDIT: Logitech has addressed the F key issue. Read about it here: http://logitech-en-amr.custhelp.com.../434/lt_product_id/8424/tabs/1,3,2,5/cl/us,en

No Bluetooth.

I want to use with an MBA and dont want a dongle.

It's not so bad. The keyboard comes with two dongles: one mini-dongle that's barely visible and one pass-through dongle so you can plug another USB device into it. The second option keeps you from losing a USB port.

EDIT: I was wrong about the pass-through dongle. It's actually just an extender for the Unifying receiver to minimize RF interference. Should have RTFM.

I just noticed I never updated in this thread. I bought my keyboard after getting one of the 50% off Logitech coupons about a month ago. It worked right out of the box, with one setup in LCC needed. I really like the feel of the keyboard when typing on it. I also have a window in front of my desk, so it is getting plenty of light to keep it charged.

My only real gripes are that I thought it was metal, but it is actually all plastic, which is not really a big deal. Also, my MX Revolution mouse doesn't work with the unifying USB receiver, so I have to have a separate dongle for that mouse.

I've been using mine for a couple of weeks now - I love it. I like the positive feel of the keys, very similar to my Apple Bluetooth Keyboard, but with all the proper keys where they ought to be. A well made and functional item which charges very well from normal daylight - the Logitech Solar App is very helpful advising on charge, battery power etc.

No Bluetooth.

You can - just don't expect anything to appear on the screen as you type - is a minuscule dongle such a problem, you MBA guys can be so anal.

My question to anyone who has one of these:

Does the Magic Trackpad line up perfectly next to it like it does on the Apple Wireless Keyboard?

My Magic Trackpad will sit alongside the keyboard, but not line up/dock with it as it can with the Apple keyboard with the aid of a Twelve South Magic Wand, but is that really necessary? I have both keyboards and much prefer the Logitech one. The Logitech keyboard is not the same shape/size as the Apple one so they're not a perfect match.

OK, so the Logitech Solar Keyboard is close to twice the size of that from Apple, but it's more ergonomic, better laid out, has more keys and to my experience gives a better user experience - just my sixpennyworth, but I like it.

just ordered one

just ordered one with free shipping and a 20% discount. total cost with california tax came to 52.17. It has the unifying thingy so I'll only have to use one usb port with my logitech wireless mouse. got the blue color to match my mouse. Always have preferred Logitech mice and keyboards over the apple ones. will let you know how it works. happy turkey day all:)

Wait for a sale and pick up a Perfomance MX and retire the Revolution....then you can use the one unifying receiver.

I plan on doing that, but it's tough to just stop using something that is working perfectly fine. I have a Performance MX at work, and it's great. I did notice one odd thing, though. I have an MX Anywhere mouse I keep in my backpack and tried to get it to work with my keyboard's receiver, and it never saw it. I know the mouse is still working since my notebook saw it and picked it up right away. Do you need to do something in Logitech LCC to get it to see the new stuff to add to the receiver?

got it today

ok gang recieved my new solar keyboard today. at first was frustrated in setting it up. but figured out what I was doing wrong, now works just fine.paired it with my mouse so only have to use 1 usb port for both devices.:)

Only issue I have right now is I have the white keyboard for my Imac 27inch and a Performance MX linked to the same USB dongle but the Solar app gives me two separate boxes when I hit the hot key to see the battery/charging status of the keyboard. Seems as though the app is trying to read the status of the keyboard as well as the mouse.
