To release a mac version of the mechanical mini just a few months after the original seems a bit blatant to me, especially considering how easy it would've been to just provide mac-specific keycaps. I'm really not a fan of the dual label keycaps both from a functional and aesthetic point of view.

You get what you pay for. That $20 isn’t going to feel or sound anywhere near as good as a custom built keyboard.
Yeah I get that. But I'm talking about for an office user. A person who works 8-5 doing data entry. I oversee IT for a company that has hundreds of employees sitting in cubicles. I'm not paying $300 per user for a custom built keyboard.

Not being able to use a bluetooth keyboard/mouse other than Apple for FileVault authentication is a real pain. Its really only an issue for me on my iMac Pro that I use for work - when I need to reboot I just fire up the Apple devices and log in, then continue using the MX Keys and MX Master 3 that are a much better user experience for me.
I don't know if Apple finally resolved this problem in Ventura, but I have just bought Keychron K2 v2 being ready to disable Filevault encryption. And surprise - it works perfectly in BT mode to enter my password after powering on my MBP with Filevault encryption enabled! Now maybe it is Keychron-only compatibility, but I really doubt it, worth checking with other brands!

I don't understand why they need to market it for Mac specifically. This is non-sense if they are "for Mac" lol
Also I would not want to give up my Touch ID keyboard ;)
For each keyboard they have Mac only and cross platform options on Amazon
Mac only is command, cross platform is cmd/ctrl

This is good to know, thank you.
