What is the difference between MX Master 3s and MX Master 3s for Mac? Shouldn't that be just a software thing?
It is the traditional Logitech scam on Apple users.

The "universal" versions:
- comes with logi bolt usb receivers in the box (both mouse and keyboard)
- the keyboard has dual key labels for both Windows and Mac
- can be used with both Mac and Windows

The "for Mac" versions:
- different color
- logi bolt USB receiver not included. You can only use bluetooth or you have to buy the USB receiver separately
- keyboard has labels only for Mac
- price is the same

Get less, pay more. Though, if someone does plan to use it via BT only and will never use it with Windows and likes the color, I guess the Mac version is fine for them.

I'm forced to use both. Company issued Macbook for work and Windows PC for personal use, so I ordered the universal ones for my home office setup. :)

I have several mechanical keyboards. I always go back to my basic ass Apple keyboard. I'm just too used to typing on these tiny, flat keys. I even have one at work for my Windows PC.

I don't know about the newest version but the 1st or 2nd generation MX Master didn't work well at all on my Mac. Stutters, lags, lost connection, etc. I got the Mac version of the 3 and it works perfectly.

I would've appreciated separate keycaps that you can swap out for PC/Mac use, but I also understand this isnt very convenient when you want to switch machines on the fly ahaha
That's not a bad idea. Have 3 keycaps: Windows, Mac, Windows/ Mac.

What is the reason the MX Master 3S being reintroduced for Mac? The scrolling is horrible and not smooth as with the trackpad. Seems to be a known issue. Whenever you plugin a cheap wired Logitech M510 the scrolling is smooth just like the trackpad.

I almost thought about buying but then I saw this. 🤮

You sure you got the right keyboard?

This is what I see on their site.

I already have grey version of Mini Mechanical and Lift. They are great. I think these are just lighter grey/white-ish to be "Mac".

Yes, and they are missing the dongle included in the normal version, as well as the keys labeled for PC and Mac.

Ridiculous. Same price, include less, just different color. Better profit. Because ... for Mac

It costs more to make custom packaging for the Mac, colors and remembering to remove the dongle from the box.

and yes, that is <sarcasm>

Even if I wanted to use any of Logitech keyboard with my Mac, I wouldn’t be able to do so. Logitech do not make any French Canadian keyboard.

Keyboard looks good, I've had several mechanical keyboards with my windows machines. The mouse however, I know I'm old but I love the Magic Mouse for my Mac M1 mini. Love the gestures and I don't miss a scroll wheel. Yup the apple mouse has the old lighting connector under it, but honestly, doesn't take long to full charge with a good brick.

None of the Mac-specific non-Apple keyboards that I've tried actually behaves like an Apple keyboard, and I suspect this one is no different.

Apple's keyboards send a distinct keypress when pressing the fn key, other keyboards do not. This means you'll have to use something like Karabiner Elements to remap, e.g., the Caps Lock key to behave like the fn key if you want to use, e.g., fn+Up to scroll up. For this reason the fn key on non-Apple keyboards is pretty useless on a Mac. I actually prefer them placing the fn key out of the way so I wouldn't accidentally try and actually use it.

I don't know why keyboard manufacturers are having so many difficulties making an actual good Mac-compatible keyboard.

yes! The problem with mechanical keyboards now adays addition software, not just Mac but windows, and all this crazy RGB lighting. I had good mechanical keyboard for windows, simple white back lighting. Us old folks liked mechanical keyboards for the simple fact that we were used to typing on actual type writers, like IBM selectronic type writiers. I've seen always these YouTubers that are into mechanical keyboards, changing key cap colors etc. I bet if you gave them a real mechanical type writer they would be lost, especially if they needed white out.

Logitech today announced the launch of several new mice and keyboards that have been developed for use with Apple's Macs, including Logitech's first mechanical keyboard that has been optimized for the Mac.

The MX Mechanical Mini for Mac Keyboard has a keyboard layout designed for Macs, with tools to customize shortcuts with Logi Options+. The keyboard uses Tactile Quiet low-profile switches for a quiet typing experience, and the keys are backlit. It comes in Space Gray or Pale Gray, and it can connect to three Apple devices with the Easy Switch feature.

Logitech is also making the K380 Multi-Device Keyboard for Mac available in a new blueberry color that joins existing colors like white, black, and rose. The K380 is designed to be space-saving for use wherever you are, and it is able to work with Macs, iPads, and iPhones.

As for mice, Logitech is debuting the MX Master 3S for Mac and the Lift for Mac. The MX Master 3S has a MagSpeed Electromagnetic wheel that can scroll through 1,000 lines per second, and it has an adjustable DPI that can be set between 1,000 and 8,000 for precise work on high-resolution displays. Available in Space Gray or Pale Gray, the mouse uses Quiet Clicks, and like all of Logitech's new products, it is able to connect to three devices at once.

The Lift for Mac Mouse is an ergonomic mouse that is meant to place the hand in a natural handshake position at a 57 degree angle. Logitech says that this design puts less pressure on the wrist during the day, and keeps the arm and upper body in a more natural position. The mouse is ideal for people with small to medium-sized hands.

When will be get a wireless keyboard with a built in usb hub for data transfer. It’s getting old on the mini and iMac having to reach in the back to change items on the usb ports.
Hubs are ugly and cumbersome.
Let’s get a keyboard with BUILT IN USB and SD……… I mean I would buy it for every device I own.

i dont understand why they don't have the equivalent of their powerplay charging pad on the non-gaming devices.
Or just offer support for powerplay on these devices
