One thing that isn't clear from anything on their site… Does the MX 4 get the same "silent" clicks that the 3S has?
I have a MX 3 Mac edition and love it. I've been intrigued by the 3S, but can't justify replacing mine, when it still works fine.
This one looks cool… but does it have the silent clicks or the "clicky" clicks? Will there be a MX 4S coming out eventually?
Found it buried in a pop up card thingy, further down the page:

Deeper flow with 90% less click noise*

Quiet Clicks on the MX Master 4 keeps you in your flow with less noise and fewer distractions. Designed for those who create, code, or collaborate, Quiet Click buttons deliver a satisfying feel – but with 90% less click noise*. You’ll get the same performance, precision, and reliability, but with less click sounds.
*Compared to MX Master 3, MX Master 4 has 90% less Sound Power Level left and right click.

Meh may get this as the rubber on my MX3 has seen better days. Need a case really to transport it when I throw it in my bag. I got the MX3 when Covid hit and we were all sent home to work, it has been excellent and comfortable. Great purchase for something you use for 8 hours a day 5 days a week.

And once again, it appears that the difference between the regular MX Master 4, and the “MX Master 4 for Mac” is… slightly different color options, and the Mac version doesn’t include the USB-C “bolt” dongle thingy?

I prefer using the Bolt receiver over BT, at home anyway, and keep my keyboard and mouse are connected to it, which is plugged into my thunderbolt dock. Anything I plug into the dock has the keyboard and mouse already connected, without having to use the quick-swap buttons on both devices.

Neither my mouse not keyboard came with the receiver. Bought one off Ebay for cheap.

this thread made me upgrade my anywhere 3 to 3S mac. yeah, the master seems bulky after using the A3, but the A3 being small can eventually lead to a bit of a cramped hand.

Quieter than the 3S.

"Other improvements include quieter, more precise clicks"

Problem is that softer rubber material on the sides tends to get rather sticky over time.
Yeah... same. Mine is gross. I clean it all the time and in a week or so it is all yucky from skin oils. Hopefully the harder plastic on the 4 solves this.

Just ordered mine from Amazon.

How I wish these things would be made for lefties as well. I’ve been stuck on universal mouses for a long time. Logitech used to have a dedicated lefties mouse, but apparently they don’t make a profit on this so they stopped production. Leaving about 15% of the world without a decent mouse.

Thank you - this is the most important information for me. Now we still have to wait for the Mac version...

That "soft" rubber finish that turns into goo after 4 years is a curse on all appliances. Less is good. However, I haven't had a MX Master last that long before the switches give out :-(

It's a great mouse to use, but hardly built for the ages. I think I'm on my 4th since 2015... I put up with it because it's so nice to use.

Obviously the size makes it a bit love/hate and the left-handed can forget it....

I just avoid the Mac version - the regular one works fine with Mac.

Did I just get transported back to 1998? Very retro and not in a good way.
lol. From over function much? I had a Magic Mouse that gave me the cramps and it was terrible. If you do a decent amount of mouse work I cannot imagine using the Magic Mouse all day long. A truly a form over function mouse: looks nice in a design store but not for getting stuff done. The mx3 (or s anywhere for smaller hands) is so much more comfortable.

I’ve used the MX Masters for years and they were fantastic (still have 2 MX Master 3S around). So I’m sure the MX Master 4 will be great.
But last year I had a frozen shoulder and decided to give the MX vertical a try and it’s a night and day difference, especially when you have to use them for 7 hours each day. So it would be nice if we got a new improved model, with the new receiver as well.

Hopefully they also improved the quality of the rubberized surfaces so they don’t start disintegrating themselves after 2~3 years of intensive use. This applies to both the the MX Master and MX Vertical. Looking forward to read the reviews of the MX Master 4 regarding this.

I bought the 3s for Mac last year and not noticed any degradation. I have to say it's easy the best mouse I've ever owned. I do wish they could implement a scroll ball of some sort for true 360 scrolling but other than that I can't fault it.

Hah, just reminded me that a buddy of 30 years (since early high school) still uses a trackball mouse and hates regular mice or touchpads. He's spends all day in CAD and is a leftie, so maybe that's why, but I've seen him play FPS games with a trackball too. They're getting hard to find.

I bought the Logitech Lift (small MX vertical version of the mouse) for the office and it has the silent click. The click is very good, I like it. I think silent keyboard and mouse for the office should be a requirement.
My colleague has a mechanical keyboard and it’s only time that separates it from the window.
