I think if iOS 5 was out, then people might think other wise since software wise they should be on the same level. But right now iPad 2 is the must have.

I agree. $400 to try before you buy + a $60 case is pretty fair. plus you can probably get one the day you decide to buy one vs. waiting for the mail.

I figured the base models would all be $250 on criagslist by now. But hey, if you can get more you should.

I am dying without my iPad. I had not idea just how much it meant to me until I was without it.

I'm right there with you man... I miss it... I miss it a lot!!!

I sold a week ago 510 on ebay for a 32gb wi-fi, nice return on it! I posted early just for this reason.

I missed a $200 16gb yesterday. I was listed for about 5 minutes before it sold. Now, the cheapest one is around $400. Makes no sense to me.

A super condition 16GB Wifi with a $50 case should go for $350 or there about, imo.

You are saving tax and getting a case.

I'm just reporting what buyers are winding up buying them from. Of course there are exceptions both ways (I heard of a 32gb go for $250) but that's where the market is right now.

On craigslist, the rule of the game is that sellers will always overprice the product and buyers will always underbid - pure capitalism will bring the price to the market value at the time. As many have stated, given that there is such a supply/demand mismatch right now, the market value is being reflected as such.

Sold my 64GB WiFi last week for $600. Unfortunately not to by the new one as we're using it for a down payment on a home.

Congrats! Nice to see some people with different priorities. Good luck with everything.

Also after March 11 you could prob get a 32gb wifi for 300 haha. Just sayin
