Rogers, Fido, Bell, Virgin, Telus as of today.

As of July 1st (Canada Day) Rogers, Fido, Bell, Virgin, Telus, SaskTel.

The phone also works on Solo Mobile if you unlock it and get your own SIM.

Are you a 100% sure of Sasktel as Sasktel is only CDMA.

Very disappointing. Where is the Canadian love Apple? Maybe I'll schedule a trip to the states and pick one up at an Apple store. Hmmm. Could be exciting!

If you guys live anywhere close to the border, just cross over and buy one.
I used to live near Detroit (which is close to Windsor) and I used to live near Niagara Falls.

iPhone is locked, unlike the iPad for which this tactic worked very well.

the iPhone will be ATT only so you will have to unlock it if you buy one from the US.....ugh.....plus you wouldn't be able to take advantage of any phone subsidy offered at launch.

Well, Canada isn't much of a big deal to be honest...
I mean, if you really want it come to the U.S. and buy the iPhone 4, the iPhone isn't Canadian, it's an American designed/engineered phone for the American public...

erm its british designed, jonathan ive is from the uk :) o and shame on canada, we get it here on launch in the U.K. im happy

This is exactly what you should do!
Other Canadians should follow your example and stop whining.

Exactly, see, Canadians aren't exactly the smartest...

Too right it's British designed :) . I feel sorry for Canada... We get absolutely had when it comes to pricing too :( . What are the initial launch countries? USA, UK, Germany, France... Japan?

About something someone said, SaskTel is launching their HSPA network in Sask. Its supposed to be ready July 1st so iPhone should arrive shortly after. It'll be UMTS/HSPA 850/1900 like everybody else's networks.

why is everyone blaming apple? blame the carriers. i think this has to do with the micro sim not being available yet everywhere...

I am not surprised that we get the iPhone in July.

I believe when the 3G came out we also got that in July and not in June.

extra 3 weeks..

I feel sorry that Canada got the shaft this time around, I was surprised to see your name missing from the June 24 club.
As for some of the "American device for an American audience" comments.... I want to remain civilised but MAN that is some stupid stuff to say.
(**storms off to chants of "U-S-A!! U-S-A!!")

I think it has to do with the microsim. As far as I am aware it is the first phone in canada to use it.. They probably don't have the infrastructure for large sales (compared to the iPad)
This is just my guess though.

Personally I dont mind the delay, I can wait until July.. .I have no money to spend right now any ways ;)

Really?

This is exactly what you should do!
Other Canadians should follow your example and stop whining.

Man, there are so many things I would love to say in response to you, but there is no way I can say them without offending the decent Americans that YOU make look like arrogant fools.

You could be right. It's the first I've ever heard of a microsim before. Is that what the iPad uses? What kind of infrastructure is needed for the microsim?

Did he actually say end of July? I'm hoping for maybe July 8 rather than the end of July. This is kind of upsetting because for me it's not just a phone. The company I work with, their business is completely around the iPhone. We aren't just software developers. I can see me driving to the states on June 24 and pick up a few locked AT&T models for dev just because we can't wait the month more or we are really behind.
