Well, I'm pretty social actually. Like, I talk a lot to other people that I don't know (I'm the guy who'd start talking to you in the elevator). The thing is though, the people whom I did take interest in this year (referring to the individuals whom I'd love to date) are moving away this year. I always hung out with the seniors, and being a junior this past year, most of my friends are interests are moving away.

I'll probably find someone once the school year starts. I live in a place where everyone is really spread apart. Like my best friend is a 1/2 hour drive away (we still go to the same school) and my other best friend is a 45 minute drive. It really sucks living in a pretty spread out place.

The other thing about me, I never know when it's right to take the next step. Like, I'm always the kind of guy who jumps right into things, most of the time faster than someone else.

Just don't wait too long to go to the next step. I only talked to my girlfriend for a couple of days at school and over the phone before I asked her out and now look where I am. :D

Well, I think thats better than waiting too long to make a move. I wish the guys I knew would make a move more quickly...well, maybe I wish they would just make a move period. :(

I have this strange relationship with this girl. She's pretty good looking, awesome personality, a really fun person. She currently is dating this boy, however she always wants to hang out with me.

The other day she begged me to go to the store with her to buy a board game. Then she wanted to get dinner, so we had dinner together. Then she wanted ice cream so we got that. Next we went back to her house and rode horses together. After that we watched a movie.

Maybe she doesn't see her relationship going very far with her BF. He's nice but kinda strange.

And how do you feel about all of this?

I feel a little guilty to be honest but its what she wants to do. I've asked where her BF is and usually when this happens he is not around.

I'm obviously not going to something stupid like make out or something like that. She's not a slut or anything close to that, so I'm not really concerned.

I would just go a long with it and see what happens. Sounds like you guys are having fun together, so I would just appreciate it while it lasts!

She's a great friend of mine. We've always kind of had a thing. But I am not going to push it. I don't see her current relationship going really that far. But she's a nice girl so I also can't see her breaking up with him, I think it would have to be the other way around. I feel like I am different from a lot of people. I don't feel the need to be in a relationship with someone.

well, he did say she has a nice personality. And I also wouldn't be suspicious of every good looking girl either!
Interesting that you went this way.

It sounds like she is a good person based on his description. I was merely trying to reinforce that with the quote. Bottom line, is that the person's character is much more important than their looks for long term success.

As far as being suspicious of every good looking girl ... I'll stick with what experience has taught me over the years. Thank you very much. :)

Anyhow, the teens are a tough time for many of us. But somehow we all manage to survive. :)

Okay.

I know you're all dying to know how it went.

I guess it wasn't an EPIC fail, but it wasn't the greatest thing ever. I discovered as soon as we got on the bus that she recently (like, two weeks ago) was pretty much pushed into dating another guy by a friend of hers.

I talked to her about it though, (I know you'll all say she's trying to make me feel better, but) and she says she feels terrible about dating this guy, and is trying to give him a chance. She said that she wants to try going with me if it doesn't (and likely it won't) work with him.

So, fail, but a positive looking one, I guess.

Hardly a fail mate. And if it is, its a fail for her for choosing the wrong guy. Best of luck to you. Giver her some time with this guy. Most of the time these things dont last long.

Somewhere, some place there is the right person. You will know.
(Married 19 years, dated 6 times before we got married. We knew that we were meant to be the moment we met. Happier every day.)

I think the worst is that every girl in my grade does not hang out with anybody in our grade. They all want to be with the Seniors. But, one of my closest friends (she lives right near me) we are quite close, we dated for a year but we decided to stay friends. We hang out a lot when we have nothing to do (which is everyday) and smoke some pot. We have a lot of fun. She is on and off with a couple seniors, but we are still close. Probably the only girl in my grade that I like.

i think you are making up excuses when you say girls only want to hang out with seniors.

everyone likes a nice guy where people , both guys and girls, enjoy that persons company and is fun to be around

if your excuse is true though lol, then id go after the senior girls as apparently all the "juniors" are with the seniors lol

I am completely serious. Most of the girls in our grade love the Seniors. The juniors and Senior girls are lonely, but still dont hang out with any of us. Just waiting to be a Junior and Senior. Most of the guys in our grade dont have any girlfriends.

The good thing is, some of the girls are starting to hang back out with most of us again. Being a Junior this year should be better.

This is fairly true of my school too. A lot of freshman and sophmores (especially) and even some 8th graders are all going out seniors. On the other hand, a lot of them I would never think of dating, and in that case, I am all for this. Although when it's someone you like it does suck :(
