Can anyone recommend a iPhone 6 AT&T unlock service. I tried 'www.officialiphoneunlock.co.uk', they said the phone had been unlocked but a T-Mobile sim wont work. Guess its a scam.

The phone would still obviously be on contract since the iPhone 6 is brand new.

Any suggests on a service that can perform an unlock would be greatly appreciated...I move to Berlin next month and it would be nice to have an unlocked phone ready.

Thank You in Advance...!

I restored and all i get is 'SIM Not Valid' when i put a T-Mobile sim in the phone...

I've used a few different services, looks like the price for AT&T iPhone 6 unlocks went up, selling for over $100 at www.iphoneunlockguys.com

Checked a few other sites and all over $100 for unlocking an AT&T iPhone 6, compared to around 40sh for iPhone 5S and older phones.

I noticed that a lot of iPhone 6 unlock services popped up today and they're charging super high prices.

I noticed sellers are charging vastly differently prices for different iPhone models. Obviously, the iPhone 6 unlock prices are the highest right now (up to $100)

I was thinking, since the unlock is simply based on the IMEI code, does it really matter whether you buy an iPhone 4 unlock or iPhone 6 unlock? Shouldn't it work just the same. I'm wondering if it's just a big cash grab with these guys charging higher for newer models.

Did you buy the phone with contract or at full price?

It is not unusual for the prices for unlocks to go up when a new device is introduced. I guess the demand is higher and people wanting to activate their phone right now will pay.

Sorry it's a bit off topic, but are there any advantages to getting an unlocked ("T-Mobile") 6 instead of one bought with AT&T Next? My 2 year contract is up and we have a 10GB share plan.

Had the same thought...

Had the same thought...

I remember paying in the region of $125 to unlock my AT&T iPhone 5S last year, but last year was unusual because AT&T unlocks went down in October 2013 and no one could get AT&T unlocked , price shot up suddenly from literally less than $1 to over $100.

I ordered an AT&T iPhone 6 unlock from iphoneunlockguys.com for my new iPhone 6 Plus, they say will be unlocked tomorrow. Keeping fingers crossed

Pricey at $110, but flying to Indonesia tonight and need it unlocked ASAP in 24 hours

The advantage is, it will be unlocked. :p Other than that, they are the same. If you're not switch carriers unlock isn't necessary. If your phone is paid in full your carrier will (usually) unlock it for free.

did you pay outright for your phone or contract price? my Apple Store had no T Mobile units so i opted for an ATT unit at full price and they insisted that the phone was STILL LOCKED and not globally unlocked. Got home and popped in my TMO nano sim and no problem getting service. LTE is working and all.

Both phones on contract. But i think the 5S would be lapsed by today...

If the 5S is now off contract, AT&T should unlock it for you, no reason they would deny it (assuming all bills paid)

Will update on my 6+ unlock tomorrow

thank you for answering this question. saves me the unlock request i was gonna send to ATT

I try different websites to unlock an ATT phone and they always lie, they never unlock the iphone.

The best solution I found was to go to ebay and find a good seller with almost all positive feedback and the unlock was ready very fast.

There are lot of scammers out there, beware of webpages even if they display top results on Google or they have Ads in Google or other websites.

I bought from this eBayer seller.

Looks legit. I used to always use SwiftUnlocks but $100 is a ludicrous price to be charging. These guys are making a killing. It's pretty much pure profit. At least on eBay the competition seems to have brought the prices down to somewhat more reasonable level.

Will report back when my phone gets unlocked.

Awesome look forward to knowing what happens...!
What phone do you have? AT&T? And was it bought under contract?

Yes. I bought an iPhone 6+ through AT&T with a new 2-year contract. This eBay seller looks promising. Hopefully it works out. It's too bad it's the weekend. Will probably have to wait until Monday for the unlock to process.
