Someone should check on his well being. He might be locked up in an Apple interrogation room.

Even then, he might come back and say "I got this resolved but can't disclose any more about it".
We already know that Apple offered him $1,000 and he refused.
It's still my prediction that (if he refused it) he's going to come away from this "empty handed".
