I don't know if I can last any longer than February. This hiatus has been grueling. I hope they don't just give us a shortened season. If anything, delay it until we can get the sixteen straight episodes as was promised.

am I the only one thinking that Lost is possibly the most compelling example of how miopic programming decision squandered a potential all-time classic show?

last year hiatus was dum and it heavily damaged the show. this year is much much worse and i am afraid it will reflect in much less viewers.

keep momentum, and air the darn show already. who cares about 16 weeks of uninterrupted episodes if half the people won't watch anymore? show it on alternate weeks, with reruns in between, but keep people interested.

last year the buzz on the interwebs was deafening.
this year you can hear the crickets thinking.

You pretty much hit the nail on the head.

I'm at a stage now where I don't care much for Lost. I'll probably pick up on it 2-3 episodes into the new series. Heroes came along and last series cliffhanger, whilst a big one, is also a bit dull.

The idea of flash forwards has pretty much destroyed any questions of who will survive the island or if they get off at all. A huge anti-climax for me.

ABSOLUTELY AWESOME. Other than Pushing Daisies, they're the only show on television with my UNDIVIDED attention. Simply fantastic. --I'm marching off this second to create/find a "count-down" clock for January 31st.

This thread has sealed the deal on my favorite website to visit each day. Since getting the iPhone for Xmas I have been here at MacRumors. I have learned everything I need and more about the phone. Found there is a photography section, now this a thread on LOST. My favorite show of all times. WOW. counting down till 8pm.
