I forgot his name but I love the G-Man style character. Turning up at Lockes birth, trying to get him into his school and in the future with Juliet. Hasn't aged a day.

Very interested to see where this goes.

Thought the superhero line was a bit uber-naff.
 
I also loved the drawing of the Smoke Monster by Locke as a child.

A little foreshadowing there? He drew a picture of a Smokey attacking, I can only assume it was locke.

Richard, I think. Then again, who can trust anything you think you know in this show?

Except that ye$, they $tretched it out to three $eason$ for only one rea$on.

That was a good episode, could've delivered a bit more, but I feel it was setting up for next week which will be an intense episode.

I think Jacob might talk through dead people or something... I really hope that Christian IS NOT alive. I mean that would be so...meh. And I believe that Claire died while her, Sayer and miles were sleeping in the jungle. She was then "taken" by Christian. The reason Miles saw her was because he can see the dead and Sawyer was sleeping. If this is the case, and she actually is dead, I;m not sure how I'd feel... I'd be fine with it, but it would be like we never got to mourn her death... she just kind of died and that's it.

Umm, what else.... Richard scouting Locke at young age = uber creepy. So did Jacob know that Locke would be the next leader after Ben, and told Richard to go get him...? Was the crash caused by Jacob just to get Locke on the island? Oh, and WTF is Abaddon doing pushing Locke's wheelchair. That guy is the creepers.

And Keamy scares the sh*t out of me... I hope Smoky gets him, drags him around, slams him against a few trees, and does it all over again. He's a douche.

Anywho, I think that's all for now.. I'm going tp have to re-wach and digest.
 
too much going on for me, I just keep watching to see how everything will tie in together.

I figure she died when her house blew-up... she just didn't know it yet...
 
When Richard interviewed young John Locke and gave him the test to pick which item on the table was his, I think John actually passed the test, but Richard didn't tell him that.

Perhaps, but Richard seemed genuinely upset when John picked the knife, but maybe he was upset for another reason.
 
I guess there are a few possibilities...
  1. John failed the test because he wasn't what Richard thought he might be, wasn't the chosen one, etc.
  2. John failed the test on purpose.
  3. John passed the test but Richard didn't say so to hide that fact from John.
  4. John passed the test but Richard didn't say so to hide that fact from John's family, even though he and John both knew that John passed.
  5. John was actually testing Richard in some way.
  6. The scene never actually happened!
I rule out only #1, because I know the writers are always trying to misdirect our guesses.

He was upset because John's destiny is to become a scientist remember?
In the latest episode, you see that as John grows up, he turns out to be a natural in the sciences. However, he tries to deny this and wants to do other things (this is why he chose the knife as a child and why richard became upset). john is denying the fact that his destiny is ultimately to be a scientist. however, once he arrived to the island, he started to accept this destiny more and more as the story progressed. this is why ben is no longer the chosen one and can no longer see jacob.

There is a theory about the relationship between Ben and John as well since they were both premature births. People have developed theories around the song that was played at the beginning of this weeks episode.

I see what you're saying about Claire dying in her sleep. Good theory, makes sense (well, Lost sense). But if she died, where did her body go? Wouldn't it still be there by the fire where they slept?
EDIT: Although, wasn't Jack's father's coffin empty when it was found?


I just saw Ethan at Whole Foods in Santa Monica this afternoon. I thought he was killed on the island???!??:D;)

Just visited the Lostpedia and it seems I'm not the only person who sees Half Life's G-Man in Richard.

I'm really enjoying this series so far, definitely the best IMO. Shame it's going to be cut short... But hey maybe that's why it's good? They're squeezing more into the fewer episodes.

Jack (and now Locke) have seen Christain. I think being dead doesn't necessarily make you immediately invisible. Possibly visible to those who are close to you, and since everyone has been on the island for nearly 2 months with Claire and she's given birth so it's not a stretch to think that they'd all have a connection and be able to see her.
 
Good episode.... it was actually really depressing though. I mean Claire's mother actually getting out of her coma (yay, but her daughter is not there so boo) and then she sees her grandson and Jack knows but there is nothing that can be said.... it's just so depressing. They should've never contacted the freighter.... :rolleyes:

Looks like the finale will rock... Find out wth the Orchid is, and how exactly this "Time Travel" works, see why people get on the freighter but not "off the island." I think that the C4 might asplode but the O6 aren't on the freighter or maybe something like that. I don't know if I see all the cast members minus the O6 dying... that would be insane to kill that many people so I don't think so. And yay for the Others! I actually cheered when they showed up... who woulda thunk?
 
aaahahhhh!!! last night was crazy! i'm soooo anxious to find out how they pull the O6 together to get off the island... and what the heck is the Orchid?! man... this show leaves you with soooo many questions!!!

can't wait for 2 hours next week :D
 
A very good episode. Fantastic build up at the end there, great seeing the others back again.

So the next episode is the series finale but it's 2 hours long? Gah. The summer drought is upon us :(
