Just found this on Macobserver - http://www.macobserver.com/article/2005/11/17.13.shtml

Anyone with Konfabulator, let us know what the dire consequences are.

Really kind of cute.. I just installed it and therefore have not had time to allow the timer to run out but I did type in the wrong numbers and executed it and the application shakes then shuts down.. Probably the same for letting it expire but I will let you know in 105 minutes.

why do we have to refrain from posting spoilers? can the west coast people just refrain from looking at this thread? i can do it (i rarely get to watch Lost "live").
I suggested previously that those of us on the west coast simply avoid the thread after 6pm on show nights, but others still seemed to think the easterners were responsible for keeping quiet for 3 hours.

I'll repeat my opinion: It spoils the fun if you can't talk about the show right after you watch it, so I think "buyer beware" is the better policy, and we PSTers should be responsible for keeping our eyes closed if we don't want to know anything ahead of time. Perhaps, as a compromise, the first person to post from the east coast after watching could say "The show is over on the east coast" or "Beware of spoilers!" to remind the westerners, but otherwise I think it should be every-(wo)man-for-him/herself.

When there are national elections in the U.S., news outlets tell us the outcome before we even get to vote, so I don't think allowing Lost discussions before the show is on in the west is a big problem.

And, of course, we'll continue to ignore the needs of the poor folks in Alaska and Hawaii!

The onus should be on the reader to avoid such threads where necessary. But it's those pesky major news outlets that add the spoilers right into the headlines. Those writers should be fired. Seriously.

Can we maybe change the title of this thread to contain the phrase "(POSSIBLE SPOILERS!)"? Then anyone silly enough to wander into this thread between the hours of 8 PM - 1 AM on a Wednesday evening is responsible for their own spoilage.

It's a rumors site, after all. Every thread contains possible spoilers!

Ok, the timer got down to under 4 minutes and starts doing the seconds just like the show. at 2 minutes I felt compelled to enter the numbers. (Really I just wanted to see if the graphics would really show the rollback to 108 or just automatically reset it) Oh well I will let you know in 84 minutes what happens.

Doc, it is your thread.. We will let you make the call.. FWIW I side with you... If you are a west coaster you are on your own till after the show airs in your TZ

The thread belongs to the community and I don't want to be bossy about it, but it seems that a decision one way or the other would be useful, which makes it my job (sigh).

I added "includes spoilers on show nights" to the thread title and starting next week we'll allow spoilers as soon as the show is over on the east coast, so you can have your fun with wild speculation while it's fresh on your mind.

Non-easterners, beware of this thread in the hours preceding the west-coast showing! If somebody thinks to repeat this warning just before the show first airs, it would be appreciated. Better yet: A nice graphic, based on Lost, warning people not to proceed past a certain post. :)

In the meantime, here's a photo I took in my hotel room in Tokyo last month. Alias and other shows I recognized were in the TV schedule too.

You're probably right. Either way though, the random on the beach disappeared.

Couldn't he be Bernard, too? I mean, he's the only one not accounted for on the beach if this guy is a mystery guy. If Bernard was in the picture somewhere, too, I'd agree with you.

Maybe the actor was sick that day and they put in some guy who looked somewhat (read: not really at all except that he was a man) like Bernard. That's my theory, anyway. I don't think they could have made that big of a goof by accident, so I'm sticking with weird lighting or bad angle or bad replacement for the day.

You're probably right. My point is that people are beginning to look waaayyy too deep into every little tiny thing on this show. People were hanging on the fact that there was this mystery man who appeared for a rough total of 10 or 15 seconds, as well things like Shannon's gunshot wound looking like a slash, and Anna's gun being in the wrong hand.

Oh, Lost...

Yeah, that probably is the case. Someone else said the guy on the beach had a mustache, but they're wearing the same clothes, so it's most likely either a stand in or the actor who plays Bernard with some weird lighting anomaly.

An article about Lost in the Los Angeles Times made the hilarious observation that despite all their hardships, the people stranded on the island still manage to take very good care of their teeth! Either they are actually actors in a TV show, or they found native plants on the island to use as toothpaste, toothbrushes, and floss for their regular dental care! :D <--- shiny teeth

Speaking of which, I've heard that there are people who actually believe daytime soap operas are about real people. Are there people who think Lost is a documentary?

*And nice thread title change, BTW.

Whoever wrote that article obviously hasn't been paying attention and has no business writing about the show... quite a ways back, we saw Sun show the others (no, not those Others) how to clean their teeth with a particular plant.

And I might point out that the absence of sugar, corn sweeteners, etc. would help the survivors a bit by not making it so easy for their teeth to rot in the first place.

Absolutely. I don't get the episode till Friday or Saturday usually. I just know not to look at the thread till I've seen the episode. Common sense.

Awesome episode though and really well done (the same ending as last week). The first scene too with the crashing plane parts sounded amazing on a 400watt stereo! :D

anybody remember the inside of that hatch, and how it was supposed to be from late 50's early 60's? There was a washer and dryer in there, a very modern one, infact, i have the same one in my house, but it is the white version, no more than 5 years old max. And that laptop saywer was hding, what was that, a pansonic toughbook of 1996? The guns are also quite modern, and the fact that a "geothermal" generator has last several decades without service and its embedded in concreate. well, at least now we know that the two groups (group one=doctor, iraqi, bald guy, group two "HUNTERS!!!?!!?1oneONE0|\/3!!) are closer together than they think, and whatever is between them, the concreated over spot, must be really dangerous. Also, i'd like to hear more about the interior of the island, because in my opinion, the last episode (focused on group 2) sucked. I WANNA SEE MORE HATCH.   :D

has anyone tried listening to the official lost podcast? once you get beyond the stupid banter you can find out one of two useful bits and peices from it!
