I think Ana Lucia is definitely dead... not because of the drunk driving, but if you frequent any of the spoiler sites it's been said that (her trailer on the set has been returned... apparently that only happens to people who will no longer be on the show). That, and Michelle Rodriquez has been quoted as wanting to concentrate on her movie career.

I'm not so sure about Libby... I think they'll leave us hanging. In contrast to AL, Libby seemed to have been shot more in the stomach area. With prompt medical attention, she could possible survive those gsw's to the stomach area. Maybe Kate takes Jack to that abandoned medical hatch (although I think she already said it looked stripped of supplies, etc.) or they trade Henry to the Others for medical supplies. Additionally, spoiler sites have said (that Cynthia Watros is involved with a pilot for a new show this coming season that may or may not get picked up) which is another reason why the writers might leave Libby's fate hanging until the next season.

If Michael tells the Losties that Henry shot the three of them and escaped, then what's his explanation going to be for how Henry got the gun, since Anna Lucia had it and clearly knew how dangerous he was?

There's only one other person that knows about ALs encounter with Henry, Locke. Remember when Jack asked how AL got hurt, Locke quickly made up some story about her falling.

So if Michael does say that Henry shot them, he could say it's because AL was finally starting to feel bad for him, went in there and he jumped her for her gun. He could make up any story.

The only person that would know it's unlikely is Locke, and I can imagine him being quiet about it for a long time, because he's not exactly a big talker. Just an idea...

But right before they tried taking the weapons back from Sawyer, Locke said "Jack, I have something to tell you." - I'm assuming he told Jack already.

Oh yea, I forgot about that

I gues we know what happens to drunk drivers around JJ Abrahms.

Anyway, was I the ONLY one completely annoyed by an episode devoted to the back story of a person simply to 1) link Jack's father and Sawyer at that bar, and 2) link Jack's father to some random Ozzie daughter (Claire is Jack's half-sister) and then kill her off?

That's an aweful lot of build-up for a throw away character.

This has convinced me that they're lying through the entire interview:

Ausiello: Rumor has it she was a hard-ass on the set and everyone hated her. Care to set the record straight?
Damon: We're not in Hawaii on the set so all we can speak to is our working relationship with Michelle and what we have heard from the other actors and directors on the show, and we never heard anything remotely resembling that she was a hard-ass. You know, she's Michelle. She's got a very playful spirit. But she's totally professional and got along well with all the other actors. We get calls over the course of our career about difficult actors. We did not get those calls about Michelle.

People are theorizing that the drunk driving prompted their characters being written out. Maybe it's the other way around. Michelle and Cynthia might have just learned they were going to be shot and would be leaving the cast (or just filmed the scene) and decided to go out and have some drinks to drown their sorrows. It's only a theory.

Sounds good to me.

Either way, (IMO a) stupid episode.. but I'm not sorry to see AL go. They better not kill off Eko though.
Eh, I rather liked it.. we got quite a bit of insight into "Him" by un-Henry (would kill him for failing, brilliant man, genius... sounds to me like Alvar Hanso?). Although I kind of knew the twist was coming (don't go to the spoiler sites if you don't want to know these types of things) I'm still sad to see AL get killed off. But I agree, please please please don't kill off Eko... he's probably my favorite character.

Has anybody heard anybody connected with the show speculating on how many seasons Lost will last?

If and when they get to the last season, I hope they carry it through to some conclusion, rather than simply stop filming from one day to the next. I don't want to be left hanging like I was with Carnivále.

I was kinda hinting at that, but wasn't sure. And as for Millennium, wasn't that sorted out on X-Files? And the fact that the real millennium came and went without everybody dying? I know Lone Gunmen was sewn up that way too. Also not happy about the way they killed that.

Noooooooo! Not Anna!!!! Someone stop the bleeding and bring in the defibrulator!

In all seriousness, that episode made me sit for a moment with my mouth hanging open. That was totally a shocker for me. That guy is going to get the wrath of Hurley eventually.

and oh yeah, screw michael...he always does whatever he can just to save his skin and walt's.

Again, making Walk some kind of omnipotent being. Or are the Others using Michael's love for his son to get their way?

Did anyone call the number in the fake commercial? I tired but there was no answer.

With the girls getting shot this is turning into a total sausage fest.

AL is definitely dead. One in the heart. Libby might be okay depending on what was in the bag and what in her was hit(if anything)

Hahah you reminded me of something a mate said. He's totally sick of Lost and is just watching it to find out what happens, though he doubts it's going to be a good final ending. Anywho, he was saying that they want these kids because there are no women Others, that these big grufty men just want someone to love. Probably had to be there :D
*he hasn't seen e20 yet, which says there are women, so yea*

The trailer for next week? Probably at the end of an episode on ABC's website. They're showing Lost episodes for free this month.

And here I am wishing I had caught the commercial. Know of any place on the web that I could watch it?

It's on YouTube. Just search for Hanso Foundation.

If you want better quality, I can always do the "convert DVR scene to Quicktime" process than I've done before (e.g. iGary on Airline, dpaanlka's email on O'Reilly Factor)

I'm so mad that you have to be in the US to watch these. Does anyone know if there is a way to trick it into thinking your in america?
