Aren't there adapters available? Seriously, though, my 11" MBA is the best laptop I've ever owned (PB 170, PB 5300, "Lombard" PB, PB G4, aluminum MacBook, MBA). I rarely power it down, usually just leave it in sleep mode, so it's ready to go. Like RobT, I'm looking forward to using it to present at conferences.

There are people who shutdown their MBA?

This is my first Mac after building/repairing/using PC's for the past 11 years. To say I am pleased would be an understatement. My wife, who is always hesitant when I want to spend money on "the next new gadget" instantly fell in love with it's simplicity and design.

This is my story of how I will have to buy ANOTHER Mac, a month after I bought my first one ever..

bought the i7 13" a few weeks ago, it's amazing, its the best all around laptop computer I have ever owned. Love the portability.

The 2011 11/128 air is the first Mac I didn't think about selling in a while. That says a lot.

I'm completely happy with it.

I really love it... i cant say anything negative about it, apart from something i can change in the settings (when running on battery it goes to sleepmode too fast... :p OH THE HORROR!)

also i have to get used to the small screen. when i use it on my desk i get a an ache in my neck... i'm used to a big normal monitor and a keyboard..

Of course when i'm sitting here i dont use the laptop except when i just need to try out something or just "play around" with the gestures.. i really love those =D never had fun browsing boring sites before..

Sold my 15" 2010 i5 MBP and went with the i7/256 11" Air and wouldn't even consider going back. This is by far my most favorite computer in a long while, and I've been through every model of MB since the CD BlackBook till the first Unibody, then went from Unibody Pro's till last years model and now I have the Air, so I've owned a ton of Mac laptops to compare this to, it's amazing.

It's tiny, portable, light, FAST, accessible.

I recommend it to anyone looking for an entry Mac laptop, 64GB is a bit small, but with an external drive it wouldn't be any trouble at all for people to handle, everyone uses externals now anyway.

I'm a power user though and got a 25% personal discount on this machine so saved a bunch of money and just went with the fully loaded model.

The people complaining bought the wrong computer for their needs, simple as that, the Air isn't for everyone but it's great for my needs as a college student.

Yes, I,too, am coming from a 15" mbp (2010 i5) to my new 11" 4gb/128gb mba. Even though the 15" was really nice, I prefer the portability of my air. Suprisingly, the smaller screen size has not been an issue; at least, not when out and about. At home, I should mention that I have a 22" monitor I hook it up to. Also, the speed is good and, so far, I have had no problems. To be honest, I wish I could afford both. They are both great machines.

I wanted this when the 2010 came out, but I needed 256Gb. So at that time (I needed a new laptop) I went with the 13" ultimate. I was satisfied with that, liked the real estate, and pitied the size and "bulk". So when the 11" came out with the i7 and the 256Gb I really wanted that one. I'm going to sell my 13" 2010 and my iPad 1 to "finance" this.
Since I started using this 11", I haven't touched my iPad anymore. I either use my iPhone, or I get my 11", but my iPad or 13" MBA are sitting on a shelf.

When it comes out, I'll get the 27" thunderbolt display for use at the office, together with a wireless keyboard and the huge trackpad. Adding even more functionality to this tiny but powerful laptop.

Bottom line is that I'm really loving this little Bambam (or is it Pebbles? I think it is Pebbles).

I got the 2011 11/4/128 Air through the Amazon deal and couldn't be happier with it. It's my first Mac, and it's exactly what I was looking for in a laptop.

I adore my 2011 11" i7 MBA! This thing rocks! It's so fast, light, and comfortable to use. It's amazing how much you can do on something so tiny! And with Lion it's even better than the previous 11" with SL because of the full-screen apps. It astonishes me how much more spacious it makes everything feel (although I confess to still pining for the old implementation of Spaces).

I don't have a clue why people are complaining about these machines. Obviously they won't suit everyone's needs-no single machine could. But this is an amazing machine, and I don't see anything wrong with it at all-quite the reverse!

I am very happy with mine.

Most of my complaints would be on Lion and not the hardware itself. I have had not problems with the parts or quality of construction.

I get around 5 hours of battery life on average, but I mostly use it to write and browse the web, and email.

The most annoying Lion bug on it for me was the random screen flickering, which was fixed in the latest Lion patch.

Mine has been great so far even with the LG screen. :). It's portable and powerful and does what I need.

I love mine, but the battery could be loads better. I think I'm getting about 3.5 hours even with the backlight off and the screen at the absolute minimum.

Other than that, its perfect!

What are you doing with your MBA? I'm getting about five hours when I turn the screen backlighting way down and the keyboard lighting off. The only exception is when I visit any website with Flash, which kills battery life.

Loving my MBA 13" base mode (i5 128GB) but am still within the 14 days and very much considering returning for the 256 GB and MAYBE i7.. I don't know.. I just don't know  Errrr

Totally!!! I love it so much, I had a Macbook Pro 15 (2009) and an Macbook Pro 13" (2011) i actually sell it to buy this precious!!

I will be a Macbook Air Fan forever, it is to fast, to thin, to beauty!.

I adore my 11" i7, complete with its Toshiba SSD and LG screen.
Honestly, its perfect. Best laptop I've ever owned (and my 8th Apple laptop).

I love my 11 inch macbook air with toshiba ssd and lg screen. I would never think of returning it. Everything just seems to work. Love the backlit keyboard too.

Try flashfrozen in the app store for $.99 to kill that background flash : it's great!

I'm loving my i5/13/256 so very much. Except for the dog slow toshiba ssd (jk), it's greatness!

I bought the 13"/i5/256 on NC's tax-free weekend. I love it, I have no regrets. This thing replaces years upon years of PCs in my life. I gave the PC away to a friend who needed a computer, and now the MBA is my only machine. It's all I need, and it's perfect for me.

This is my 4th Air. Had the first $3100 model (?!!) then the next Rev B model. Then got last year's 11" Ultimate model. Now, this year, gave the "old" 11 to my wife and got the new 11" Ultimate model.

I couldn't be happier with it. Battery time is a bit lower, but the keyboard backlight makes up for it.

So, yes, I admit it: I love my new 2011 MacBook Air 11.6 Ultimate. :p
