This is my 4th Air. Had the first $3100 model (?!!) then the next Rev B model. Then got last year's 11" Ultimate model. Now, this year, gave the "old" 11 to my wife and got the new 11" Ultimate model.

I couldn't be happier with it. Battery time is a bit lower, but the keyboard backlight makes up for it.

So, yes, I admit it: I love my new 2011 MacBook Air 11.6 Ultimate. :p

Another charter member of the MacBook Air club! I had a similar pattern, but I started with the "cheaper" $2100 HD-based Rev A, switching to the Rev B SSD, then the 11" Ultimate last year before settling down with the new 11" Ultimate last month.

Try flashfrozen in the app store for $.99 to kill that background flash : it's great!

Thanks. I'm already using AdBlock and ClickToFlash, but there are unfortunately some sites where there's no alternative.

Love is an understatement. Forums tend to attract people with problems rather than people you are lovin it!

Hey guys, new here and new to macs. The 13" i7 Air is my very first Mac, and coming from a Windows user, it took quite a bit to get used to, but now that I'm all comfortable with Lion, I can happily say I love the laptop.

Its so thin and portable, its basically asking to be cordless, so I usually dont have it plugged in. I can easily bring it to my living room or dining room, prop it on the couch, and of course with the power it packs, its amazing. There is pretty much nothing negative I can say about it. I originally bought it to replace the HP Envy Laptop that I bought last year and used for school, I had terrible experiences with that laptop, having to return it several times and eventually got rid of it for this. My school requires I use Windows, but thats not a problem thanks to Boot Camp.

I am more than satisfied with my Air. Its like a breath of fresh air, since I'm a new Mac user, all while discovering whats so good about it. What attracted me to the Air was its weight and speed though, so I thought I would give it a try. Its awesome and I cant think of what may be next.

It feels strange attempting to use a Windows PC now, since all the keyboard shortcuts, and mouse movements are different, there were times when I was pushing Alt-C on the Windows PC, but I dont think thats really a problem. :p

Greatest device ever to come along!!

This is my first MBA, I have the 13" 256 model. It's my first Mac and I love it...

This is what I have and totally love it. My first Mac after preaching against them for many years. Good bye PC as I am not turning back now. It is Apple all the way for me including all peripherals, Airport etc.

I love my 13" MBA. It is the best computer I have ever owned. I have been using it as my main computer.

Did you get 11" or 13"? What kind of programs do you run and what kind of work do you do on it?

I installed Office 2008 (more compatible at work than 2011 so no update) I installed aperture which is always open and I have a few smaller utilities and Games. I threw on an abbreviated version (about 12,000 songs) of my iTunes account. I no longer use office entourage as I am quite pleased with the new iCal and Mail in Lion. I never shut down I just drop the lid. Since opening the lid when the box opened I have restarted the mba after software updates only. all programs run well. I expect Aperture to be updated soon to better support the full screen in Lion. This is (in my rarely humble) opinion the best potable compute made to date for the consumer market. It is rare to have your expectations surpassed after the anticipation I have head for this laptop. I had a 2010 in the box and in my hand and backed off in March opting to wait. I am glad I did!.

I definitely love this machine. It's light, rigid, powerful, everything is instant.

My purchase of the 13" macbook air ranks right up there with this nifty 35mm f/1.8 lens I got. Obviously Apple wins though.

After 2 exchanges, I am finally happy.
1st one had heat/fan issues
2nd one had noticeable backlight issues towards bottom of screen, but was cool and quiet
3rd one none of the above issues :) and battery performs seems to be better than the first two.

Lion -.-; is very unstable to me. I wish I can downgrade this 2011 MBA to SL...

I just reinstalled Lion last night, everything seem good "so far", and the Finder.app is my most horrible experience...

I just purchases a MBA i5 256 for travel, MBP 17 was ripping the steps off my backpack when adding it to a special work laptop. I have been reading allot of complaints here which I can happily say I have none of. It is Fast, Quiet, no creaks, Screen is bright and clear, doesn't get hot, charges fast, battery lasts over 6 hours unless a peripheral is attached and it does everything as advertised if not better!

I was just wondering if I am in the usual silent majority? :apple:

what do you mean about heat and fan issues? please elaborate..

I also love my Air. It's a maxed-out 2010 13", my first Mac ever, and I'll never buy another Windows laptop.

Also, I've never had any problems with it.

I love it too. It's very fast and the backlit keyboard is fantastic. Plus the trackpad is fantastic. I love the fact that you can do a lot of gestures instead of having to click.

I also like the look and feel of it. It's a very good looking machine and it's so light!

I'm very glad I bought the 256 GB and a 13' screen.
