That photo is so unrealistic. I've never once seen my phone appear anything like that shade in the 4 days I've owned it. I will admit there have been a couple occasions where I did see the pink, but under 90% of lighting conditions (to me) it looks very much like copper or rose gold, and not pink at all.

When it has appeared pink (It's usually in the car for some reason. I have a deep navy blue interior and bright yellow seat belts so it's an interesting environment) It's more of a dull dusty rose than a bright pink like the photo above. Absolutely nothing like that from my experience so far.
That photo looks like it's been taken in a light box with heavy directional lighting. I agree it's not a fair representation at all.

All I know is that Rose Gold needs to come back in stock in the next 10 days so that I can return this Space Grey.

Apple kinda missed the mark with this "rose gold" color. I know so many people who have returned or is going to return their phones. A shame really.

I've gotta say that whenever I compare the rose gold to a pink object it is obvious that it is definitely not a pink tone although perhaps a tad softer than many men would prefer.

everyone that's hating are just mad they didn't get the rose gold colour.. now that they see how awesome it is.
I'm not hating. It's not an ugly color. It's just too girly imo but, some guys don't mind being a bit girly lol. Wherever your comfortable with i suppose.

Pink such as the pink 5c would be girly, if you wanted to compare pink to being feminine. Rose gold is a refreshingly nice copper IMO.

Like i said , whatever your comfortable with. Still too pink and girly for me. If I were to get an iPhone, I'd probably get white. Tired of black phones and don't care for gold.

According to theguardian.co.uk, this picture down below is the most accurate they have that show the actual color in real life? Is this accurate? Does it look like this most of the time?

And let me just say, this picture below here is just beautiful, but I guess it doesn't look like this all the time:

Yes this is about accurate. The color in the bottom photo is nice, but that's only when you tilt the phone a certain way.

i don't know what all these people were talking about earlier.

The rose gold colour is veryyy nice.

It's definitely not that light pink pink.. it has a copper look when you hold it in certain angle.

Over all it's diffidently a mix of gold and pink which looks awesome.

Rose gold is beautiful, it's not pink. It's little copper little peach and the mixture of rose and gold.

Thanks! How are you guys feeling about the color now a few days later? I'm kinda stuck between the two shades of gold available..

I know ... I want a bubblegum pink iPhone :(

I was really hoping for a color bright like the iPod touch. Maybe when they switch away from metal cases they will come out with more fun colors.

They do make silicone cases to scratch that itch.

Not true in my case. I did get the Rose Gold 6S Plus on the 25th and returned it to Apple the next day. I didn't hate it, but I didn't care for it either.

Did you get another color or were done with getting an S model?

If you put something that is lighter pink or neon pink under the rose gold phone, of course it will look less pink.

I'm very happy with the rose gold, too! I try to change up the color iPhone I buy each time, and this is a nice change.

Of course, but that was not the point. According to the source this was how the phone looked most of the time, regardless of the pink band underneath. I guess they just had to use it to get the right color on the picture.

Correct. And that photo is shockingly accurate to real life.

The phone looks way less pink in person than in Apple's press shots, so people claiming they were misled only have their ignorance to blame. I think this phone is about as close to rose gold as anyone could expect from a brushed aluminum finish.
