I have to agree here. I have had all 4 carriers and at least in this area, Verizon's LTE is insanely fast. Faster than the other networks and even faster than my home Internet thru Time Warner.

The call quality is also amazing on Verizon and I have yet to drop a call (drop about 8-10 a day with att).

two great things about CDMA. CDMA is superior in how it's handoff technique when compared to GSM..and theoretically the voice quality/call clarity is better, because it's a more efficient standard in terms of spectrum use, so they can higher quality calls into smaller or similar spectrum when compared to GSM. But of course that performance aspect of CDMA is highly dependent on the handset.

Verizon LTE is "Amazing" but let's get real. Even on the 10GB plan, how much can you really do with it? At 65Mbps you will blow that cap in what, 15 minutes? :D (Yes I know $10 per GB after but that's called bending over...)

I have never used above 10GB with Att. Lte shines for me with things like Pandora because of how fast it buffers. I also plan to use this as A LTE hotspot which is nice for my laptop and iPad.

To each there own. I was just tired of ATT a network. I reallyconsidered getting Verizon when they still had unlimited data and kind of regret it but 10GB should be more then enough

I recently jumped ship from Sprint to Verizon. I picked up 2 unlimited data plans off of craigslist for $50. Sold my Sprint 4s and paid the ETF now I am in the process of trying to give away my sprint iphone 4 to someone who is willing to assume the contract.

Bought a Vzw 4s for the wife and a Gnex for me(craigslist). And after getting passed the quirks by rooting and installing roms and kernels I finally have my gnex perfected. So now I have upgrade eligibilities for both lines in the summer so I can upgrade to the new iPhone with LTE.

But after getting back used to my gnex the new iphone will have to have LTE and NFC for me to switch otherwise I might just upgrade and sell the new iphone and keep the gnex.

I still have an iPad for all of my iOS needs.

Well I went back to ATT and was able to get my unlimited data back with them.

10GB is nothing on LTE and I finally realized that after watching a couple Netflix shows over 4G. I burned through my data super fast.

Was really happy to get unlimited data back, but AT&T still blows.

Dont be upset cause someone said something about Verizon:D
And how do you know down the road VZ will have better coverage and speed than AT&T's LTE? Maybe AT&T will invest and roll out more unless you're a psychic...

Or if you just base it on history....

I don't get it. 10GB is 10GB. You don't use it up any faster just because you have a faster connection. A 2GB file is still 2GB, it's just going to buffer much faster over LTE.

I think he is trying to say he prefers having unlimited data.

How did you get back unlimited?

Got rid of my Verizon iphone 4 because of the poor 3G service and the throttling. Switched to the razr maxx. Kept my unlimited plan and consistently get DL speeds >20 Mbs. Maxx battery is impressive. Can go 2+ days without charging with moderate to heavy use. Will be a tough decision to make whether or not I upgrade to iphone 5 in December when I can upgrade. Not sure I want to pay the extra $30 that Verzion wants to charge for upgrade. What a rip.

The MAXX I've been using doesn't seem to last nearly as long. It also gets quite hot too. If people thought the iPad 3 was bad, they should give this puppy a spin.

Perhaps you have a bad one because sub par battery life and it geting hot are definitely not normal. return it.

YouTube automatically streams in a higher quality. Because you can load more data in a faster amount of time, the quality goes up. Same reason why quality is better on wifi rather than a 3G connection.

I was able to get unlimited back by reactiving my account with AT&T with in 30 days. Three reps told me I couldn't, fourth said I could and did. I called the 800-351-0300 number and pressed 5. The lady told me anyone grandfathered into unlimited data can reactivate it within 30 days of leaving the carrier.

You might be right. After only like 5 minutes on Skype, that thing was a little space heater. The fact that it's running ICS might not help much either.

I thought you said netflix? For youtube, you can change that in the settings

That's because you are running an unofficial version of it. Of course you are going to experience issues with battery life and things like it heating up. That's why it's a leak and not an official release :) you can't judge a phones performance off a hack job.

If your connection can adequately support the streaming of a higher quality file which in turn is larger and will use more data, you will get that file. I do a lot of media streaming and with LTE, you will get a higher quality file which will use more data.

OP.

Too bad u didn't jump to Verizon 2 months ago. They still had a huge loophole to get unlimited LTE data on LTE phones like the galaxy nexus.

I used the loophole on my Verizon galaxy nexus. Got double data end of December. Tricked the system into giving me unlimited LTE.

I have since sold my LTE Verizon Galaxy nexus. I have my reasons. Lots of complaints about the LTE Nexus. But to each their own. Enjoy the phone.

I have since put the Verizon LTE sim into my Verizon LTE iPad and use it exclusively in the iPad since Verizon does not audit LTE sim swapping between any LTE device.

LTE speeds are amazing. I also have a Nokia lumia 900 AT&T LTE phone. I live in Orlando. I live in the surburbs of Orlando. So I get both AT&T and Verizon LTE. Both blazing fast.

Let's see how Verizon and AT&T handle traffic once LTE iPhone hits.

I'm a business traveler and fly all over the US and Canada. I have had 3 phones in the past 3 years on 3 different carriers:

iPhone 4 on AT&T
Droid Charge on Verizon LTE
Evo 4G on Sprint

Overall....Verizon is the best. It's not even close. Best speeds in the widest variety of places. I was in San Antonio last week and was pulling down 24mbs consistently. Today I'm in St. Louis and getting 18mbs. When I was in Miami and NYC a few months back I got well over 15mbs in both cities. AT&T doesn't hold a candle.

If you want a premium carrier you have to pay premium prices. For me, Verizon is worth it.

I consistently got 7 down on Verizon's LTE. Only one area gave me >20 speeds.

I read about the loophole for unlimited data but couldn't get it. It's to hard to give up unlimited data.

I guess what's scares me is that now that I know how fast LTE is, I know I will use more data then before.

Apparently you haven't tried AT&T LTE in San Antonio. That's SBC's (the real company that brought out the old att's back yard). And AT&T LTE is faster in New York than Verizon.

I'm not going to get into an argument about the carriers. I have both Verizon and AT&T cellular service. Florida and most urban areas of the old Bell South area as well as SBC's strong hold all have extremely strong AT&T service.

I am up in DC 2-3 months out the year. That's Verizon's strong hold and I like to use my verizon phone up there. But back in Orlando I prefer to use my AT&T service. I travel a lot myself. Will have to agree in some boonies Verizon is excellent but they still have huge gaps in service especially in the smokey mountains.
