I’ll say it for you, you would tell me all about how climate change is “normal”, and there’s a grand global conspiracy involving the whole thing. Because somehow, scientists are part of this global cabal because they are getting paid by it, etc. Even though the real money (trillions) is in the oil industry, and they actually are a global cabal who have spent billions over decades, bribing politicians, spreading propaganda though pr firms, to convince the masses that it’s all a big hoax. Never mind that that the overwhelming evidence proves not only is climate change accelerating, it’s strictly because of humans. It’s impossible to dismiss this unless one either has an agenda (politicians, corporate pr hacks, bought off media), or is so neck deep in the partisan games peddled by a certain political party that they’ve lost all objectiveness.

The US military thinks climate change is real and one of their biggest threats this century. Hell even the oil cartels themselves know this but waged a war of dis-information to keep the waters muddied on this issue all in the name of money. They knew they were dooming the human race to extinction and lied about it for decades. I find it amazing that there’s still people who believe their disinformation still to this day!

We know things, like we can’t see gravity, but we know it exists, we know the Earths atmosphere is a relatively thin band that surrounds the planet and is made up of various chemicals. We know for a fact that some of these chemicals trap heat aka greenhouse gasses. We know we’ve been pumping these greenhouse gasses into the atmosphere since the Industrial Revolution. We know the earth and its oceans have warmed up in this period, rising right along with our emission output. We know that never in history has the earth warmed so quickly, in the past things that took thousands of years has happened in less than 200. We either accept this or we perish, fungus, heat, and wheat, do not care about your political beliefs.

You can join us here in the tree of knowledge, or not, amigo.
Oh yes you can get suspended for posting facts here.

Here's a fact you may not know: The earth was significantly warmer 1100 years ago than it is now, and stayed in that warmer state from 900 AD to 1100. Those damn Roman chariots must have had gas engines.

Right now the earth is actually in one of the colder cycles.

If you look at the JD Powers data for initial quality, Audi is right at the bottom 3.
And Tesla is in the bottom 5. Having owned both cars I can compare both in areas where one is much better than the other. The obvious are easy to list: paint, panel gaps, and interior plastics are all better on my A4.

One of the steering wheel stalks in my new Y is already scratched (wife’s nails). The Y ships with the cheapest things that can be called floor mats. No plastic liners in the door compartments either. I’ve already accepted that the console is going to get scratched to hell. The door creases (not sure what these are called, look at the bottom of each door from the inside) do not look or feel as nice as my A4. This is important when Im cleaning the bottom and frame of each door. It looks cheap and it feels like my microfiber cloth will catch. The frunk is the cheapest hood I’ve ever felt on any car.

The running joke about the Y and 3 is that they have econobox interiors with expensive power trains. I agree.

It’s about Tesla giving up control of monitoring every move your car makes. You basically sign away any type of privacy by using a T.
Indeed. I willingly, and knowingly, exchanged this for the savings in gas/maintenance. My GTI cost me ~$18 gas daily, vs. <$4 and that is at 2023 gas prices.

But I can wish for CarPlay nonetheless 😂, a small win was the web based availability of Apple. Using though.

My first thought when I sat in a 3 was the interior was pretty nice. Sure it's much less going on than a traditional interior, just clean uncluttered lines. I think with an EV since the weight of the battery is so great, there is some weight savings that needed to be made other places. I had a Chevy Bolt before the Tesla, and the interior was just cheap hard plastic everywhere, so the Tesla is a big step up from that. I can't speak for an Audi, but the one place the Model 3 is way ahead of any of the BMW's I have owned for the past 24 years is the sound system. In every BMW I would pay the steep upgrade price for the 'premium' sound system, which was worse than the system you would find in 1990 Toyota. The speakers in the BMW were just junk.
