If you pick enough Tuesdays in a row, you're bound to get it eventually I guess.

I can't wait, there's a good chance my order goes in tomorrow.

When is Snow Leopard scheduled to be released again?

well...:)

lol...thanks JasonK....i really enjoyed your alternative plan. rather than "paying" somebody to insert the memory and "hook" it up for me.

would you be my Godfather on this....;)

im still twisting in the air tho... hoping that there will be a refresh....this Tuesday...or the next:D

@ start post:

"- 1 of 2 GB DDR3 memory (max 4 GB)"

'of' means 'or'.

But maybe you already knew, sorry then.

Why would they give the Mini 5 USB ports when the iMac only has 3? Only the Mac Pro has 5.

Why would they give it 1 MDP and 1 Mini DVI?

Why would they give it Firewire 800? What happened to Firewire 400?

None of this makes any sense.

Firewire 400 is ridiculously oudated (14 years old!) and NEEDS to die. Maybe manufacturers will finally step up to 800, but seeing as they havent in the 7 years its been available....

"I was just going to post that Gizmodo thing. Anyone willing to assume an AppleTV? (One with an LCD)"

I'm thinking so, 30 inch maybe?

It's surprising 2 c everyone getting so excited over wat is basically just speed & size bumps. I told myself it'd b ok if that was the extent of the updates but I think I'm a little disappointed inside. I was expecting Apple to wow me w/ something sweet & radical

Apple doesn't work that way.

It had better learn to. Things have changed just a little bit in the last two years. Somebody from Infinite Loop needs to go shopping and see what $400 buys these days.

If the specs that have been mentioned are correct, the Mini needs to start at $399 and the iMac at $899. There needs to be a Mac Pro at $1,899 and an expandable xMac at $599.

If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

I guess I'm a heathen - I also like the look of the whitebooks over the unibodies :)

Nah You're cool...

It's just that I feel the little girl deserves a new life and should be as special as the new lineup. I really love my MacMini but it's not going to want to play nice with my future MacOS X 10.6 Or at least it hasn't thus far. :/

And I think it's one of those amazing little machines from Apple that I just really love. Since I missed out on the Cube, this is MY cube and I love it to bits.

I just want Apple to show it some respect. ;)

When I saw this rumors my body frozed and shaked. Im so happy also have concern... If they are release tomorrow definitly they will be ship late on March. I hope its not be happen

I really wish they would update the mac mini to some decent specifications. I don't want to sound silly but not everyone in this tough time has money to burn, some of us don't have a lot of money right now.

I am a student and have used a G4 mac mini for many years. Now that it is coming to end of its life (the optical drive has failed and often the fans rev up and go into protective shutdown by itself) I am looking for a decent update.

I hope Apple's UK prices for the Mac Mini will be honest.

peace - macpanda.

We covered this already. Keep up! :D

Why would they give the Mini 5 USB ports when the iMac only has 3? Only the Mac Pro has 5.
Because its a BYODKM. You have to add your own keyboard, mouse, printer, iPod/iPhone, etc.

Why would they give it 1 MDP and 1 Mini DVI?
Because its a BYODKM. Apple won't be able to assume you have an ACD with mini-display port. Think "switchers". Here's hoping the video card is a 9400 and can drive both ports simultaneously. ;)

Why would they give it Firewire 800? What happened to Firewire 400?
FireWire 800 is completely backward compatible to FireWire 400. Get one of the FireWire cables with the nine-pin connector on one end and the six-pin connector on the other.

None of this makes any sense.
Actually, yes, yes it does. :D

Exactly why apple pulled out of Macworld, they are expected to revolutionize the world with every update. Completely unrealistic.

And after the update im sure the sales numbers will be dismal right?

Apple continues to flourish, as much as every spec jockey says they will fail for not giving average joe complete overkill for his needs.

Yeah, Apple continues to flourish. Mini sales flourish? I'll believe that when I see evidence of it.

And call me crazy, but I'm going to go ahead and speculate that if it was better specs at the same price or same specs at a lower price (or both) that sales would be better. I know, totally outlandish, right?

Why would they give the Mini 5 USB ports when the iMac only has 3? Only the Mac Pro has 5.

The mini has four NOW. And a mini with a generic keyboard/mouse will leave three open on the new mini, while an iMac with three open because of the two ports on the included keyboard - technically with the two USB on they keyboard, the iMac has 5 ports total and 3 open with keyboard and mouse attached.

Argh, not the bloody xMac, the xMac needs to be inbetween the iMac and Mac Pro, otherwise, what's the point in getting the iMac...

Maybe the reason why there isn't a speed bump in the high end is because Apple is no longer getting "special" CPUs from Intel ever since they used NVIDIA chipsets? The current top mobile CPU speed is 3.07 GHz.

It's surprising 2 c everyone getting so excited over wat is basically just speed & size bumps. I told myself it'd b ok if that was the extent of the updates but I think I'm a little disappointed inside. I was expecting Apple to wow me w/ something sweet & radical
There's still hope for the GPU. GTX 200M series (to be released March 3 or something) maybe, especially when the Apple-NVIDIA relationship seems to be good.

Because apple's sales have PLUMMETTED in this economy....

I wonder if the iMacs have been updated with LED panels as it doesnt actually mention it in the specs
