Apparently, discs from the Mac Box Set with Snow Leopard have made their way onto eBay here.

It just occurred to me... maybe the DVD artwork is different in the box set than in the retail upgrade box ($29). If you notice in the eBay listing... all the discs are white and match.

Just an idea. I bet the $29 version of the disc will have the X with the pink behind it.

As stated before, I've been running 10a432 just fine for a week or two. However, I have noticed there are a few things missing. The new stacks browsing feature is intermittent at best. Tethering in 64 bit doesn't work. And, there are no quicktime preferences (pretty big deal!)
No big deal because installing the old QuickTime Player 7 will still be an option (default location is the Utilities folder). And as far as QuickTime Player 10 is concerned, it will remain preferences-free for the sake of simplicity.

But I still believe that 10A432 is not final.

And again as mentioned before in my prev post the seller is located in Ireland where they print all of dvds and manuals for europe. So my guess is this is legit.

I'd guess this is because the kexts are provide with iTunes and Apple has specifically mentioned that iTunes remains 32-bit with Snow Leopard.

The question is whether or not it's just iTunes.app or all of the stuff that's installed by iTunes.mpkg.

I just emailed the seller about the build and he has not installed it, i asked him where he obtained the disc's from, i will update after i hear back.

That is going to suck if we will not be able to tether (once it's allowed) in 64-bit mode. If I'm reading you correctly.

So, say we want to run dual monitors and have a movie automatically open in full screen on the secondary monitor, we won't need preferences in order to have Quicktime 10 do so (like in quicktime 7?) I have a hard time believing there simply won't be preferences.

I do chuckle at the eBay listing posted above, if it's real SL must be for release on the 28th, the listing doesn't end until the 31st.

Those discs do look fake, especially on Snow Leopard disc, it looks almost off centre.

I just asked the seller what the build number for the SL install DVD was. I will post his reply.

EDIT: He replied just now: "I cant check the build, coz im using PC not MAC."

Seller has 100% positive feedback, so I think he might be legit.

The SL install DVD says "Mac Box Set" Strange?

If he's in Ireland, there is a reasonable chance he works down at the plant in Cork and may have swiped/borrowed a copy whilst no-one was looking ;)

no, the snow leopard will most likely be the artwork on the upgrade dvd as well. the packaging was already leaked last week and the installation icon for SL is the same as the box set artwork.

What does this tell us:confused:

(lol) In the search box they have typed, "It was a 'trick.'" (it's a word used especially on this site, literally meaning "fishing", but meaning they they were played by ("reeled in" by) someone having fun watching people in the thread over react to the innocence of their initial post.

If he gets caught...he is seriously screwed...! Im living pretty close to the factory so hopefully Ill get my copy on the release date! :)

I'm sure that people thousand miles away from the factory will get their copy on the release date, too :)

I requested additional information and photos from the ebay seller. I don't want to bid on non-genuine software. I will post reply and photos if any.

Looks legit to me. The Box Set version has to be distinguished because the $169 Box Set version is the only retail disc that's a full install. The $29 and $9.95 discs are upgrades.
