im looking for a ppc sega genesis emulator. also whats the fastest ppc mac mini or laptop ever made? i have tiger on my mini g4.
According to MacTracker:

The fastest PPC Mac Mini was the Late 2005 PowerMac 10,2 which had a 1.5 GHz G4.

The fastest PPC laptop were the 15-inch and 17 inch, PowerBook G4 introduced in January 2005 with a 1.67 GHz PowerPC (G4)

Neither Mac (mini or laptop) ever was introduced with the more powerful G5 CPU that was used in the more powerful Macs introduced at that time.

The last generation ibooks and PowerBooks G4 also have the faster GPU, than the Mac Mini, if that is of interest for virtualisation.

I recommend everymac.com for a specs-overview. They also have a side by side comparison site.

Anyway, not too sure about a Genesis emulator. The fastest PowerPC Mac Mini is a 1.5GHz PowerPC G4 from Late 2005. The fastest PowerPC laptop is the 1.67GHz PowerBook G4 (15in and 17in models) from 2005. The late 05 models are arguably the best PPC laptops ever made because of their beautiful displays, double layer DVDRW optical drives (DL SuperDrive/DLSD), and their high speeds.

Funny I downgraded to Tiger last night, and this on my quad G5. Leopard looks better but the added bloat started to annoy me. I find Tiger to be more responsive and less 'in the way'. And I don't need Time Machine, etc.

HINT : Fill in your location field!

North west missouri. I'm in north of kansas city in the plate city area.

EDIT: they look good to me but, the stainless steel on blue and white theme with Tiger still seems contemporary to me, at least if you don't consider your self a die hard fan of the flat shading most softwares and OSes use these days.
