I'm having issues with Halo now after the update.

Everythign will play fine, until I try to play Multiplayer, then the game hangs up, and I have to force quit.

What's odd, is that I got a few games in day beofre yesterday, came back last night to play some more, and now I am having this problem.

Tried the normal cleanup stuff? fsck?

Fixed all my 10.3.8 problems...

Did an archive and re-install of 10.3.7. :)

Now that I have a backup drive (yea!) I might get frisky and try 10.3.8 again, this time using the mega "combo" update instead of the smaller one that downloaded the first time. It seems most people who haven't had problems with the upgrade used the combo version. (Installing the combo update on top of the smaller one, multiple times, had not effect.)

Machine is once again, silent like the wind.

Mail not sending, SBC ISP problem?

Since updating, Mail has not been sending messages, and it has also "lost" a few messages in my inbox and sent messages box. Every few minutes my computer tells me that I have no free disk space. The claim was valid, so I freed up 5oomb and I still get the dialog. Also, a get a box telling me that I have too many apps open and that my HD is out of memory, and I will have to force quit a program. This is not good. Tiger better be coming out soon.
I am having the same mysterious problem. I am not able to send out messages from Mail. I am still using 10.3.7 and have not updated to 10.3.8. This just started today. Yesterday sending mail was working. Elsewhere, I read this is a problem with SBC ISP service, which I use. Anyone else with this problem also SBC customers?

Does this email addresses not use SBC's outgoing mail server? Is this your own domain name email address? SBC seems to have blocked port 25 which screws things up. Try:

You may also want to email support for more information.

Hope that helps.

Thank you for that reply.

Mail just now mysteriously sent my messages that have been waiting in my Out box for fifteen hours. I cannot believe I have been working on this problem that long. I don't even know what triggered the send. I have tried every suggestion I came across.

I think it was changing the port setting on non-SBC smtp servers in my Mail Accounts from 25 to 587. I did also add the SBC smtp servers into my Mail Accounts and left those port settings at 25. I also emailed SBC seven hours ago, opting-out of the Port 25 block; I received their reply a few hours ago, so maybe that kicked in, even though I have not reset my DSL router yet.

Either way, Mail finally sent my waiting messages out, so I am very happy about that.
