Ppppleasseeee apple... Please include a display driver fix for the Mac mini (static problem), so I can finally use DVI-D on my 20.1 inch LCD, instead of VGA...

Have more than a few films of late that have black bars on the side in addition to the usual ones. Two examples: King & I, and South Pacific.

DTphonehome said:Wow...so when this is done, 10.3 will be perfect, right? Since there are no more numbers left before 10.4, there's no room for any mistakes in this release. I can't wait! Imagine...the perfect OS...my eyes are tearing up at the thought of such wonder...
It's hard to tell if you're joking or not.Maxiseller said:I really think that it's just not going to happen releasing X.3.10...it's just not Apple. Think about it, a One followed by a 0, it's not clear, hence all the debating on this forum! They won't do it. This will be the last update before Tiger. It's tidier that way! Betcha!
GeorgeTheMonkey said:Were those DVDs anamorphic? If they're relatively old, pre-2000 circa, then they might just not be... and that would be causing the problem of which you speak.
fossyy said:Exactly, since the last update safari crashes nearly every session.![]()

In fact when I went to school we were taught that numbers were infinite and could go on forever. So, what happened to 10? Is there some reason there cannot be a 10.3.10?
Not sure about that second problem (which sounds very bizarre), but the first simply sounds like non-anamorphic DVDs, which is the DVD's problem, not the DVD Player app.pimentoLoaf said:To hell with numbering systems -- why can't Apple fix it so that a letterbox film COMPLETELY extends from left screen to right, all the time?

Worse, some films that do show properly, have their image on a full screen shrunk to a half-size image, necessitating a change to max screen then back to full to get proper aspect ratio.
