Just updated my Mini and no problems to report here.

Can you try typing:

java -version

at the command line in Terminal?

It works with no problems for me except for broken Java support.

I get
java version "1.4.2_05"
Java(TM) 2 Runtime Environment, Standard Edition (build 1.4.2_05-141.4)
Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM (build 1.4.2-38, mixed mode)

If you select the option to "Use Transparent Window" in the Debug menu then each time you load a page, the Safari window is transparent. Pretty cool isn't it?

Hey!

View Source used to be Comand-Option-V and now it appears to be Comand-Option-U.

That's going to be hard to unlearn.

And what does Comand-Option-V do now? Is that something in Tiger or something?

ouch! that's a less comfortable combo, at least to try with one hand!

I wonder why it changed ...

Tiger out in like two weeks right
o well its impressive they care that much

because if you go into an Apple store now the only OS on the shelves will be Panther

because 10.3.8 was a piece of crap that screwed up my PB

etc.

Just installed update all seems good here :D:D Think its fixed my PB sleeping issue.

But looking v ery very much forward to Tiger.

With Tiger there will be 3 types of install options If I am correct what are they ?

Ran software update, intalled 10.3.9, rebooted, immediately repaired disk permissions..... fired up Azureus and it loads fine.

ghostees-Computer:~ ghostee$ java -version
java version "1.4.2_05"
Java(TM) 2 Runtime Environment, Standard Edition (build 1.4.2_05-141.4)
Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM (build 1.4.2-38, mixed mode)

Running Azureus version 2.2.0.2

It doesn't load at all for you vouder? I havn't tried loading a torrent yet, but the launch went successfully except for the nag screen. :D Guess I need to get around to giving the project a few $.

Avoids a potential Mail issue if the application is running when Daylight Savings Time changes.

Uhh, anybody else think the release date slipped a bit on this one?

Or are they just being really proactive for 2006 :D

It is possible the update was held off until late on Friday so as to address the upcoming release of new PM G5s on Sunday.
If the update was released earlier, it would give people more time to pick it apart and find info about upcoming new PMs, release it on the Friday before so the updates are available.

Or I could be reading into the relase date like a crazy person, but the crazy thing is to bother with the DST fix when Tiger is out in 2 weeks.

lets not start this debate again. anyone with a brain knows that if another update is coming, they can go with 10.3.10. they didnt run out of numbers.

I don't mind starting this debate again. Mathematically, 10.3.10 is the equivalent of 10.3.1. But then the second decimal point is mathematically incorrect, so anything's possible ...

flickering backlight

I am so glad this fixed the flickering backlight powerbook issue. I just thought my display was breaking. I'm relieved.

It's fairly simple just consider them hexadecimal translated into decimal for human readability.

Just like 192.168.1.5 :p

Deaf node syndrome

At last, everyone else gets our deaf-node syndrome fix for the xserve:

Network Hardware

* Addresses on issue with Ethernet communication on Xserve hardware that could result in packet corruption.
