Mac OS X 10.3 (Panther) Shipping

Still open. But also still says supposed to arrive tomorrow.

I wonder until how late they will be shipping them out tonight. Going to be disappointed if I pre-order and then get it later than everyone else.

Ah well, such is life.
 
its 11:30am central time, and my order still says open with overnight shipping - well I don't know what to think now - will they really send it out tonight? probably not -
 
right after I posted this i checked my status - it now says shipped and it's 11:30pm central time! wow that is late - hopefully tomorrow I'll be installing -- awesome !!
 
I just checked FedEx...currently it is sitting in Jacksonville just a half hour away from me. I would so go down there and pick it up right this minute if I could. It had better get here soon, it's going to be such a long day tomorrow waiting until "by 4:30 pm" for it to be delivered.
 
:rolleyes: Sorry if you answered this before, but how do I find out when my G5 up-to-date order will arrive?
 
Go to the order status page on apple.com and click on the tracking number they provide after it switches from "open" to "shipped" FedEx gives you an estimated time of delivery.

I don't know my order#... I faxed my order, I think...

Cool. It says shipped now. But it didn't give me any tracking number or anything, but at least it is on its way!!!

I am going to bug the hell out of my girlfriend tomorrow showing her all the new features. MUWAHAHAHAH! :D

Hehe, we're both so unlucky with this....mine's sitting in Tampa, I could probably get to Tampa in about 15-20 minutes....hell my dad works at the airport and he's there right now, I wish he could just bring it back from work though he won't be here until 9am or so anyway....I just hope I get it before I leave for class or else I won't be able to lay hands on it until saturday....:(

Couple of things.. first leave a note telling them to leave it where you want them to leave it. This will depend on your sitauation. I can have them leave it on the front poarch. Make sure you SIGN the stoopid letter.

If you are not there and you do this. You can then run down to the fedex office and pick it up AFTER they attempt delivery.

Of course my fedex office is more than 2 hours away.

Well, kudos to Apple. I guess they were just late in updating their order status system. After showing up as "open" through last night, all of a sudden this morning my order status shows it shipped yesterday afternoon and should arrive via FedEx by 3pm today. :)
 
I pre-ordered from MacConection when they had an ad that said "Pre-Order for October 24th Delivery"....

But now they tell me they really didn't mean it.

Macconnection is telling me now that my order will ship sometime on the 24th.

They were selling for 119 with a 20.00 rebate, anyone know anyplace selling Panther for anything close to that? If so I'll cancel my order with these morons and order somewhere else.
 
According to FedEx.com, Panther is now on the FedEx truck on the way to my house! :)

I am actually pretty surprised that it won't take longer because I didn't order my copy soon after the release.
 
Hi All-

I was wondering if anyone knows whether the updates that Address Book and ical are getting in Panther will be available to those of us who are planning to stick with Jaguar for a while? Though the answer to this may seem self evident, in the past, these updates have always been available seperately.

wanna put it on the home mac before the work mac-might have to take a 1/2 day:) :) :)
 
I went to apple.com this morning checking on my Panther order. At FedEx.com it said that my copy of Panther was put on a delivery truck in South Boston at 8:37am.
