It appears one user posted the intro video for Apple's Mac OS X 10.4 (Tiger).

The welcome video typically appears on first boot after installation of Mac OS X.

The new video shows a spotlight moving across a blue Mac OS X desktop background displaying the word "Welcome" in several different languages.

The video appears to blank out halfway through, but may simple be the point in which Apple displays registration information dialogs.

i dont imagine this will stay up for long, but if it does maybe its not the real one, although it is very apple-like and possible

I definitely like the spotlight effects.

Very cool.

Wonder what all the black is at the end.

Hah

Enjoy the rush while it lasts....as soon as Microsoft actually puts effort into it's OS program again (namely, Longhorn) the way they did in the mid-90's, Apple will go back into the hole.

Here come the flames and the magic release date arguments....

Now that I'm actaully watching it, I'm guessing whether it's real or not....

Every welcome movie i've seen doesn't use a desktop background for a backdrop.... who knows.

Guess we'll have to wait and see how long it survives!

Anyone have it downloaded that could send me an email please??

Video is blanked out completely from afterthe variations of Welcome in the video all the way till the end.

If its not real then very nice work... I believe it is real though.

Jagga: It goes blank in the middle, read the post:p

its supposed to blank out as the music keeps playing through the registration and set up process which do not come up in the video

The only doubt I have is that is opens with the Panther aqua desktop. Perhaps it was a pre-release... but there have been variations on said desktop with every incarnation of OS X so far.

That said, looks good. Silly music.

The same wallpaper?

I was thinking that apple going to change the defult wallpaper, like they did in 10.2 to 10.3. Althought I alway see this "Aqua Blue" on tiger preview website, but i just hope that it will be a little surprise on the final release. But i didn't say that "Aqua Blue" look bad, it not bad at all.

By the way, the video and audio are stored in different streams. The user joined them into this package, and the music obviously runs longer than the video.

Just like in "Three Billy Goats Gruff" we find another TROLL

i beg to differ

Even though ms still commands 95% of the computer market, i dont think apple is going into a hole any time soon. apple went into a hole without steve and now that hes commanding the helm again, hes not gonna let his company go under any time soon. Especially if ms plans to retain all of its backwards compatability in longhorn, its going to be just as broken up, virus plagued and security issue ridden as xp.

that the end of 2006

I think when Longhorn come out, Mac OS X will gose 10.5 (cannot think about name of another kine of tiger here) which will be more advance than tiger and maybe longhorn.

But for now Tiger vs XP, everyone know who win.

I don't know if that is real or not, but I must say that it is AWESOME... :)
