Mac OS X 10.4 Tiger on a Modern Intel Mac (Virtualization)

Since Leopard and later still work for me in Parallels, I haven't tried them in Virtual Box.

I get this error with the selected CPU:

The processor does not support FFXSR and this virtual machine requires it.

I thought SL dropped support for PPC?

Unfortunately, VMware still disables the CPU 10 minute after login.

Tried it on another CPU and under Windows 11:
Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-9750H CPU @ 2.60GHz 2.59 GHz
and it does not panic.

non-sequiter? Why are you asking about PPC? Is that a separate question or is it related to your FFXSR comment or is it related to something someone said previously?

Tiger was a transition between PPC and Intel, right? The code which brings FFXSR error emulates Pentium 4 suitable for Tiger, but not good for SL. So, if SL drops PPC support the CPU's running Tiger would not boot SL? Something along this line...
