I hope I'm right come monday morning that these shots will be proved FAKE

All I know is what is being presented is what I dont want. What I do want is a true 64 bit OS that uses the G5 in a new and interesting way.Not a new calc app ....

(Also side question : Does anyone know if a G5 system running with Dual 2ghz procs is running both processors for all apps. Lets say I'm running FCP ... is it running at 4ghz or is it running on one thread at 2ghz and then kicking in the 2 CPu's durring the render?)

I use QuickSilver... its Awesome check it out if you get a chance.

Each thread of a program can use up to 2GHz of CPU power. If FCP equally distributes its work among a series of threads, then it will effectively run at 4GHz (minus any thread/system overhead). Multiple threads are needed to utilize multiple CPUs.

Dude, stop spamming the site. That's two posts now of, hm, two! Would a moderator please step in if this continues? Otherwise, please just post a comment, what do you know? Do you have any info? Any speculation?

I think its getting increasingly likely some of these are actually real, which means some people in this thread are going to be eating their words!

That's why I am getting less and less suspicious ... overall, the work is high quality.

apple legal could want the pictures taken off because they are a false representation and do not want people to become disheartened or agitated for no legitimate reason?

I agree, they would not change the calculator this soon... Look how many years the calculator lasted in the clasic OS. There are many more years to come before a change in look for that app :)

Heh, luckily I looked @ the pics using Windows IE wehich meant I could grab the pics from the cache (if anyone wants them just email me) but I don't really like the potential system preferences search feature, it just didn't look that nice.

And the new app skins just look so... well they look like they could've been made by Apple but they just look mods to the original skin.

I think that dashboard is the row of buttons and controls at the bottom of its window. For example, Quicktime Player has a "dashboard" at the bottom of its window with play/pause, forward, and back buttons.

In the Motion demo, the dashboard didn't look like the the Quicktime Player stuff at the bottom of the window. It was black and transparent... but not nearly as large as what was shown in the Tiger images. Don't know what to believe now. :O

I guess we will see much more then a implemented Konfabulator in Tiger !
