Black Friday Would Be A Bad Day For OS X Leopard Publicity

If you mean other software sales, maybe, but I don't think other items of retail would have much effect on the potential sale of Leopard. If anything, it could actually galvanize the "intent to spend" in those who want to get a jump on the holiday season. Besides, they're going to have to compete with others during the shopping rush eventually, so again, I don't think competition on Black Friday would factor in much.
I mean the publicity noise not other software sales. Plus Apple itself does a 10% off sale on Black Friday. So it would conflict even within Apple for attention.

I see another delay, but only by a few weeks.

I see the week of Oct 22-26 as release date announced
and up-to-date program started (ie buy new mac now, get
leopard when it ships free).

or maybe the friday before or after black friday...just a thought.

well hopefully that stays "just a thought" and nothing more

i could see that happening, but hopefully not. i think if they are gonna delay it, they should tell us now

Well i guess now that Al is on the front page we won't see Leopard on there today or this weekend :(
