Over what network? No usable router (since it's driving the wireless), remember? No but you can download the patch with your laptop and connect it to your computers upstairs and transfer the file!

What the hell are you talking about? The finder only using one core (source?)? It sounds like you only need one core since you seem to be only running the finder and NOT RUNNING ANY APPS. While it would be cool if the finder used all cores, I'm not sure what the finder does that would benefit much from extra cores.
I guess you're either kidding or a pathetic loser. Now that I think about it, it's entirely possible you're kidding AND a pathetic loser.
Do you even know what the point of having ZFS write is, and how that would be different from what you use now?
If AOL would finally merge ICQ and AIM, I'd be delighted.
All my pals use ICQ, and using iChat isn't so much fun, since in my buddy list, there are only ICQ numbers, no nicknames ...
I wonder whether they have upgraded the scroll bars in iChat.
I would say "an even multiple of the physical pixels".
what is with people and scroll bars?

I am sort-of a mac noobie, but I was wondering how long it would take apple to come out with 10.5.1. If I buy Leopard when it comes out, will 10.5.1 be a simple software update or will I miss out on it entirely unless I buy the new version?

Software updates are automatically delivered to you. You can buy from day one and all future builds will be available to you.
That is, untill the next version. When Leopard becomes... Lion?
Depends. Likely a year or so, when they decide to roll-up whatever application and security updates they release that apply to 10.5.0.
By then, we'll likely have 8-way CPUs as standard, so "Cheetah" might be more apt.![]()
Do they normally announce the final version is available the days it ships, or will they have another keynote showing off the final version?
Cougar or Lynx, folks. Those are the two other feline names that Apple copywrighted.
so hopefully an announcement today of the release date!
Maybe they will go with Cougar, but it will be odd here in the UK where that word isn't really used...
