My shipping changed

Mine also states Ships by: DELIVERS ON OCTOBER 26TH which I assume means that I will receive it on Friday if not sooner! (Hopeful)

Also what is very cool is that even though I ordered it with Standard shipping mine now states "Priority Overnite". Hmmm they misspelled overnight oh well. Come on tomorrow!!! :D

My bad Peace did not see your quote.

That's because "Standard" shipping for this item is "Priority Overnite"

When placing the pre order, you had the option of choosing Overnite for a fee...I wonder if you were charged for it if selecting this option?

For whatever reason, Amazon shows they'll ship mine on the 27th - with an estimated delivery date of Oct 30 - Nov 1.

Oh well... patience. :)

I've got you beat through amazon....
Estimated ship date: 11/5
Estimated delivery date: 11/12-11/16

I might buy in :apple:store then return the unopened one from amazon when it arrives after x-mas.....

I notice it says 'Designed and engineered by Apple in California'. When has Apple started adding the engineering bit to its products? I'm sure I've only seen 'Designed by Apple in California' on all my previous Apple products.

Although to be pedantic, especially given the things Apple makes, engineering is design so it's a bit redundant to say it's been designed AND engineered by Apple :p

As you can see I am only paying for OS X and then tax.

MAC OS X 10.5 RETAIL-INT MB021Z/A $107.10

Ships by: DELIVERS ON OCTOBER 26TH

SubTotal: $107.10
Tax: $7.50
Shipping Charge: $0.00
Total: $114.60

Yeah corporate discount on OS X $107.10 not a bad price.

Family Pack Question

Even though it says "single-residence", I can still just give one of my license codes to anyone, right?

f that, man, Amazon says they are shipping mine on Nov. 1, estimated arrival on Nov. 8th. Called and they said because it is super saver, they take extra time to pack and process and they don't do any of that on Saturdays and Sundays (the 27th and 28th) so it won't even leave Amazon's hands until the following week . :-(

Sad panda.

Hilarious

I haven't received mine yet, I think I ordered the wrong thing because this guy showed up instead. At least they got the print and color right...

That's awesome. Made my day.

i rolled by the soho store while doing some things yesterday,

Nope, from the Apple Store page on OS X:

* The Family Pack Software License Agreement allows you to install and use one copy of the Apple software on up to a maximum of five (5) Apple-labeled computers at a time as long as those computers are located in the same household and used by persons who occupy that household. By “household” we mean a person or persons who share the same housing unit such as a home, apartment, mobile home, or condominium, including student members who are primary residents of that household but reside at a separate on-campus location. This license does not extend to business or commercial users.

But what's to stop me from just giving it to anyone? I dont think my OS knows my address, does it? Just the apple store, i guess.

Here in Ireland....

Prepared for Shipment
Ships by: October 26th

Cant wait til this day comes guys...leopard will rule...blow vista out of the water !!! :)

I'm an up-to-date person and my order is still "Not yet shipped" "Ships by: OCTOBER 26TH" so I'm guessing that us up-to-date folk will be the last to receive.

I purchased a 20" iMac on Saturday and filled out the online form for the "free" (ie, $10) copy of Leopard, and my order says "ships *by* Oct 26" with "standard" shipping (I was never given the priority overnight option). Are owners of new Macs being pushed to the back of the line in favor of those who pay full price for the OS update?

Yep, mine says "Prepared for Shipment"... I hope it at least comes tomorrow. Does anyone know what the delivery time window is for "Priority Overnite" shipping?

I believe we are. I expected it to happen, though. Too bad they didn't just treat all orders the same or let us overnight it.

Is it possible to purchase the up-to-date Leopard in the store?
