The travels of my Tiger Family Pack from amazon.com are amazing to watch!

According to the tracking page, it shipped from Kentucky on Saturday, went to Ohio, then to California (where I am), then to Ohio, then to North Carolina, then to Ohio. Now it's shown as being back in Kentucky. And it is still scheduled to arrive "May 5". Does that mean it's getting closer?

Edit, later that same day: My Tiger now appears to have traveled back to Ohio, then again to California! I think their tracking system is a little confused, since the package probably didn't really cross 8 state borders in the last two days. Still no Tigers in sight, but in the meantime I got an apology from amazon and a discount coupon for a future purpose because of the "shipping mixup".

Great... I ordered Tiger from the online Apple Store last week, and got my "shipped" e-mail last Wednesday (4th May). Since then, having been tracking it through TNT, and since 5th May it's been at "Allocated for Delivery). As it's now 10th May, I rand TNT to chase. When I was put through to my local depot (Luton) I was told "The whole consignment we received from Apple is damaged. Any further queries should be directed to them". How the hell can a "whole consignment" of OS's be damaged?

Spoke to Apple CS, and they told me that TNT hand't yet even informed them of the damaged consignment, but they would send me out a new Tiger that should be with me by the end of this week.

I work in London, so I'm SO tempted just to go and buy from the Apple Store, but my employee is part of Apple's "Employee Purchase Program", which means I can get Tiger from the online store for £75.

Big thumbs down to TNT though for

a) Not telling me anything, despite having had the damaged stock since last Thursday

b) Not even telling Apple, who presumably could have got another copy on the way to me much earlier

So, anyone else had similar experience? If you're awaiting delivery of Tiger and live anywhere that might be served by TNT's Luton depot, I would seriously consider giving them a call in case your copy is part of this "damaged consignment"

Hi NightFox, many people have a big thumbs down for TNT, they just suck so much, for some reason Apple have continued to use them, I just don't know why, they must be real cheap.

As I mentioned on the 29th, they put it on the van for delivery that morning, but come 3.25pm it was back at the warehouse (Swansea for me), I think that's still plenty of time to deliver by 5pm, it's only 30 minute (approx) drive from here.

So had to call my father in work to go drive there before they closed at 7.30pm, he did so thankfully I installed it that day, it should have been delivered if it was put on the van is all I can say.

As for TNT damaging goods, not a surprise, they are known for it, heard of a van load of eMac's I think, Mac's anyway, that were destroyed my water, how they managed that I don't know, plus they are known to chuck items around even if heavy and fragile like computers and damage them that way.

TNT shouldn't be in the business, and Apple shouldn't be giving it to them, surely they must have had enough complaints by now, a petition to Apple to get a different company for the UK is in order I think.

It gets stranger - last night at 10:00 I had a call from TNT asking if they could make a delivery today - so I guessed Apple had been ultra-fast in sending out a replacement.

But then I get another call from TNT at 7:45 this morning saying that my consignment was damaged, but the damage seemed to be limited to the box, so did I still want it delivering today? I asked if they has any other consignments down to me, and they said no, so clearly this is my original order...

...and then I get an e-mail last night from Apple saying my replacement copy of Tiger has been despatched - order no. and tracking no. are identical to the original!

So hopefully, I'll be getting a battered but functional copy of Tiger today, but will I also get another one in a few days I wonder?

That reminds me of when I ordered a set of wheels and tires from the Tire Rack, and UPS had fun with 1 of the 4 wheels I ordered.

3 arrived at my house 2 days after the order. The 4th took a tour from Indiana, to California, to Montana, to Iowa, then to Minnesota were I live.
