Jeez... I assume you've called apple, right? That's really not right. This post is from a day or so ago, still no updates? FedEx tracking is saying mine will be here by Monday. If you haven't called, ring them up to make sure something didn't get screwed up, like a credit card thing such as other people here have mentioned. When I first ordered mine, my card was declined. My wife called the CC company for me & literally two seconds later, everything was straightened out (I don't think she even talked to a live person...) and boom - order went through. Then a week later, it went to "Prepared for Shipping" and then on the 12th, went to "Shipped" and left on the FedEx truck this morning from Anaheim.
 
My 3.2 arrived yesterday. Ordered from OWC 2nd or 3rd week of January. With 500 GB and Fibre Channel and 8800 GT.
 
finally on the truck

Apple said mine would get here on the 12th, but it's just now on the fedex truck for delivery today. Looking forward to firing it up when I get home after installing an HD and ram from OWC. Oh, and then all those software installs and updates. Woo hoo!

Upgrading from a dual g4 powermac (upgraded HDs and CPUs during its life)! It's been a long wait!

Final update: It arrived yesterday at 1:39 pm PST. I spent the rest of the day installing all updates, installing additional software (still more of that to do,) and transferring my data from my former Windows machine. I still haven't installed the additional 12GB of RAM that's sitting on the bookshelf in my office.

The MP feels quite speedy to me so far, although I really haven't had a chance to do much more than install apps and copy data.

The switch from Windows XP to OS X feels like learning how to drive on the other side of road (like driving in England or Australia for an American.) I assume I'll get used to it, though. There's already a few things I like much better.

I'll try to post pictures in one of the existing pictures thread, if the site software will let me.

Is this normal? Fedex estimated delivery since Feb 9 has been Feb 15... which is tomorrow. I hope it didn't fall off the truck :confused:

You are not alone in this. FedEx picked up mine Tuesday night and that was the last update. It's supposed to be delivered tomorrow (2/15).
 
Ordered Jan 10 thru Apple, sched. ship date 2/15 (actual 2/8), sched. deliv. date 2/18 (actual 2/11). Last Mac desktop owned: Quadra 650
 
Mine was delivered today; 2.8 GHz, 1 terabyte HD, 8800GT video card configuration.

I've got a trip to pack for & haven't got it out of the box yet.

Still waiting for my Jan 19 order... Credit Card hasn't been charged, but I got an e-mail over a week ago about an authorization problem. Cleared that up with Chase on the spot, called Apple, and they said the authorization went through with no problem. That was over a week ago, still no pending charges, still "Not yet Shipped". Over the last week I've called Apple 4 times, and each time I was told it would ship when it ships and there was nothing they can do for me.
 
Mine got delivered this morning. I have it hooked up to my Gateway FHD2400 now. It's the best machine I've owned at home or work.

I'm very happy so far.
 
I got mine today. FedEx delivered at 2:30. Cardboard box was pretty banged up. Unpacked and started installing updates but shut it down and unplugged it due to a big storm blowing through. I don't have a proper UPS yet.

I'm pretty happy. Relived it's finally here but very, very tired from stressing out about my January order. Now I need a good widescreen LCD. Will probably get some sleep and install the updates, 4X2GB OWC Ram and Samsung F1 tomorrow.

I SO wish I'd gotten expedited shipping. Mine was shipped Wednesday (2/13) from Anaheim, CA and made it all the way to Dallas, TX by 4:00 p.m. today. Think they'd mind if I drove to Dallas tomorrow to get it?

Eh, just kidding. I hope FedEx is delivering on Monday . . . do they take the holiday off?

I got my HDs from NewEgg today. They look so, well, ordinary. :p

Well, I can't find anything that says they don't deliver on Monday... and according to their website, the freight division doesn't list President's Day as a holiday they don't work on. No USPS on Monday... and UPS recognizes but does not observe President's Day. So, I'm betting FedEx will be visiting you on Monday. Hooray! :D
 
I just checked the tracking information, and it's on a vehicle for delivery, but scheduled for delivery Monday.

I called and asked, and FedEx confirmed that (1) it will be delivered Monday, because they don't do Presidents' Day, and (2) FedEx Ground facilities aren't open on Saturday, so I can't pick it up.

Then he said something very Big Brother. He said, "Yeah, it'd be cool if you could pick up your computer today, but that facility is closed."

Heh heh... well, too bad you can't pick it up today, but hey - hooray for Monday!
 
So, out of curiosity . . .

For those of you whose machines shipped this week (ostensibly just after the 10.5.2 update), was 10.5.1 installed, or 10.5.2?

Not that doing an update right away isn't trivially easy. Just curious.

Got mine on Thu. 10.5.1
Used Software Update. Easy. Don't forget to go back to Software update again after and download Video update as well.

Software Update with no problems.

This computer is flat out awesome. Very quiet, very fast, so far everything just works.

I have experienced no wireless drops.

The only issue I have experienced at all is that Safari has unexpectedly quit 2 times.

Put me in the very very happy category!!

Most excellent - this is the kind of encouragement I need! I have to lay off the "my MP is dead" threads... they're killing me... heh... not that I've seen that many of those, but with my new machine on the way, I'm vulnerable to that kind of news.

Well my MP was supposed to be delivered today. But as of 4:05 PM EST and the tracking info still says:

Aye - I know what you mean. Mine was to be here today as well and my status says the same d@mn thing. Yargh. Bloomington, CA must be a FedEx black hole... nothing escapes!
 
I must say, aside from the sleep issue which has happened only once (since then, I've pulled the plug on it sleeping)... I haven't had any problems (knock on wood) with my MP.

Mind you... my upgrade was from a 15" Powerbook to a dual 22" screen, 2.8Gb Octo, 10G Ram, 2.5TB HD, 8800GT.
