Mind you... my upgrade was from a 15" Powerbook to a dual 22" screen, 2.8Gb Octo, 10G Ram, 2.5TB HD, 8800GT.
Finally mine has shipped. Ordered 15 Jan - apparently due 24 Feb (delivery on a Sunday?).
Are the recent ones now shipping with 10.5.2 discs?

So far it's great! During first boot, it asked if I wanted to transfer data from another Mac. I raised an eyebrow, but decided to try it. I chose the "Use Time Machine" since my iMac had all my stuff. Everything just worked! All my apps, mail, music, etc transferred over with no problems.
I partitioned 32 gigs for Bootcamp and started the Windows install CD. After it copied the initial files over and rebooted to continue the install, I got a disk error crash when trying to boot off the Windows partition. I did a quick Google and found an article about why you must reformat the windows partition before installing, even tho bootcamp already set it up you still need to format it during the windows install. It said never choose "Leave partition unchanged" which I had ignorantly done.
So I booted off the Windows CD again to start over, this time formatted the partition for FAT 32, and the installation worked great.
Everything's perfect so far, Mac side and Windows!
Bootcamp is the easiest way. Look in your Applications/Utilities folder.
A few things to remember:
1. In addition to reading, if you also want to WRITE from the Mac to the PC, the simplest way is to format your Windows partition with FAT32. If you don't need to write, then use NTFS. (There are ways to write NTFS also, but not built in.)
2. During the Windows installer, be careful to choose the correct partition (it will probably be called "C" or "Bootcamp." If you choose the wrong (usually larger) partition, you will overwrite your Mac partition.
3. Do not simply "leave partition as is." Instead do a full format with FAT32 or NTFS.
That's it, no other tricks.
You can not use Boot Camp if you have an Apple RAID card, you can use Fusion or Parallels thoughOthers have said that if I have a RAID card, I cannot simply leave that drive out of the RAID and still install XP. Is that the case? Does anyone know the low down?

So I could use Parallels to run Windows on Mac OS and run Windows' games then correct? Will there be any performance issues doing it this way?
Got my shipping notice. Shipped the 6th, scheduled to arrive on the 12th!!!
For reference i ordered about 2 weeks back and had a scheduled of feb 19th.
If this is a repost, sorry.
