Might we get a new MacPro and Thunderbolt Display at WWDC?

God I hope so. I have been holding out for the Thunderbolt Display's. Once you go retina there is no going back. My current 24inch monitors looks like crap sitting next to my mac pro retina. I need a bigger monitor but am not willing to make the investment till the retina displays come out.

Riiiight...

Unless it has 4 Titans and 4 12-core Xeons @ 5Ghz, has Blu-Ray, HBO and makes coffee for 3,000 USD after taxes... I don't see how the complaining will stop...

:p

No Netflix and tea? FAIL, APPLE!!!

Something like The Promax One but with Thunderbolt and prices ranging from £1,500 on the entry level for a single CPU model would be just fine thanks!

I really hope they reveal it at WWDC. As I've stated before I cannot wait until late summer or fall to upgrade my desktop and I will build a Windows box if need be. I'd much prefer the Mac Pro, though, so this is very hopeful.

It's also been hard for me to imagine a later summer or fall MP release for various reasons: It can't currently be sold in Europe for some time now & new graphics cards from Nvidia & ATI that, from what I understand can't reach their full potential on current MP hardware (correct me if I'm wrong on that).

I know it's unlikely, but how funny would it be if they release it next summer or delay it. Haha

Bring:

Mac minitower

Thunderbolt display with USB 3 - 24-inch

Keyboard with numeric keypad and built-in USB 3 hub

Yeah, right, a max of 16GB of ram? Even my antique Pro1,1 has 24 GB of ram in it, and I really should go all out to 32Gb! Don't give me a stinking 24" display, I already own 3 very good displays (although a nice 4k would be nice, not happening soon tho). I could always use more USB ports, and TB might be nice, an eSata would be better.

Macworld's idea of a minitower, is an iMac with an upgradeable video card, truth be told, and isn't what people that already have their setup in place need.

i hope this is really what we all been waiting for.. id sell my maxed out imac if they are really getting a new mac pro.. because originally wanted a mac pro... fingers crossed.

Ladies and Gentlemen...

The new Mac Pro.

It looks like a Mac mini, but it really is not. You can run Final Cut Pro X with this beast!

Drooling

Oh mama don't you tease me, I've been good for soooo long. If I don't get a MacPro, or whatever they want to call it, announcement on the 10th I may be inconsolable. Then I start drinking, which means I'll get in a fight, and I'll lose 'cause I'm a poor fighter, which means a head injury, then months of rehab, but I'll still have a drooling problem. So please give me a new MacPro or I'll drool the rest of my days.

The next-generation Xeon chips, Ivy Bridge-E, are not expected until around September of this year, a date far enough off that it would be difficult for Apple to announce a new Ivy Bridge-E Mac Pro

Couldn't Apple get some Intel chips in advance of other customers? They had such deals with Intel before, so maybe a lauch in July-August?

They don't sell current MacPros anyway, I don't see a big difference, not selling and selling very few MacPros is a blip in their overall revenue numbers.

WWDC would also be the right audience for MacPros. I see an announcement coming. Finally :)

PS: I think the new MacPro will look more like a "fat Macmini", much smaller, lots of Thunderbolt ports.
