Waiting Another Month To Buy The G5 Quad Might Be Too Long

Wow, I didn't expect such detailed and poignant advice from a free forum. This site and its contributors are a rare find. Thanks multi for your advice. I proabably will buy a quad from the refurb within the next month.
If you know that's the way you want to go, I wouldn't wait another month as they may all be gone by then - or they may persist as big clients trade theirs up for the MacIntel Quad. I don't know which will be the case. It's just that they've been up there for almost 6 months already and they won't be forever.

But who knows. Maybe they will.

Airport Cards Are Self Installed By You. You just buy a refurbished Airport card at the same time and put it in. Takes about a minute. Nothing to it. The Airport antenna is included.

How will doing this effect AppleCare?

It doesn't. It's a user-installable part, and the only thing they wouldn't cover is if you broke your card or slot putting it in (difficult to do, I might add). Your coverage isn't affected by the installation of parts like that.

Thanks for the info.
