If you're a long term investor, as opposed to a trader, this is your chance. Negative sentiment on Apple is always a big buy signal.
I'm sure your opinion would make Tim Cook cry. All the way to the bank (that he owns).Tim is a visionless, nickel and diming moron. He is a meme of himself. 8gb ram and 256gb storage is a joke going into 2024.
See, now, this was a human error due to ADHD, sleep deprivation, and stress from my environment.*were* 😜
If Apple really wanted to sell more stuff one would think Apple knows this already. Maybe Apple is comfy with what they have and really doesn't care about selling to the masses. Most people don't give a hoot about chip stuff, me included and believe they will overhype the chip improvements anyway.I don't care about M1,2,3.
Yeah 16 Ram and a decent SSD size.Gives us a decent iMac and sales will improve.
Lol, price gouging.their RAM/SSD upgrade surcharges as they are HILARIOUSLY
Could be if Apple is willing to take a hit on their profit margin for more sales.Memory and SSD is an incentive.
I'm thinking a version of the computers used in "Minority Report".the new stuff. Vision and AI
Just ordered the MPB Pro 3M Max for the same reason. Few devices out there can last 10 years and be functional.I'm going to buy a m3 mac soon, because i need it to replace a very old intel mac of more than 10 years
That's because the M3 event was also a 30 minute iPhone 15 Pro Max commercial once revealed the whole thing was shot on iPhone 15's. Quite a bit of buzz about the video capabilities of the iPhone 15 Pro Max and I bet it generates a lot of iPhone sales.Lol and that's why there was an event for what would normally always have been a press release
Yes, I have an Apple M1 Max at 64GB. Pretty happy. It's been a solid computer and honestly, I'll keep it for another year and then see if it's worth updating. The M1 series were just too good.
The Space Black option is only on the higher end model so that anyone looking at your machine will know you didn't splash out for the super expensive model, or you are running a previous gen model (M1 or M2). Apple are using this tactic to compel you to not look cheap, and it's quite a hostile move to users (especially in combination with their insane SSD and ram prices). Apple don't care if you spent a fortune on a maxed out M2 pro just months ago, now everyone knows it's not the top spec because it's not Space Black.M3 was the chip everybody seemed to be waiting for…but I am not so sure that it is compelling buy anymore.
…price increases, core and memory bandwidth changes and the same unusable 8Gb in a so-called “pro“ model…
and one more thing, why is the space black only on the higher end models? I could have been tempted by asthetics.
Totally, It's fine if they want to keep touting these impressive processor upgrades, but if they refuse to move on RAM and Storage, then people will just keep holding out.Bingo. The chips themself doesn’t actually offer a huge upgrade incentive for somebody with an m1 or m2.
Memory and SSD is an incentive. Unfortunately , Apple isn’t quite moving with the times here. The Apple tax on SSDs is insane at this stage.
Yea that’s the thing. People would just wait get things at a discount instead, and the previous offerings are good enough alternatives than buying the new releases.Yes, I have an Apple M1 Max at 64GB. Pretty happy. It's been a solid computer and honestly, I'll keep it for another year and then see if it's worth updating.
I’m gonna upgrade from Intel but their RAM and SSD prices are making me buy used. Their loss! They want so badly the M1 and Intel crowd to upgrade
They will have to start offering payment plans with an upgrade cycle. Like car leasing. Can’t expect people to drop $2500+ on laptop every two years let alone once a year.People don’t replace their MacBook often like a phone get a grip
they will kill them soon via software "updates"The M1 series were just too good.
Yes. People talk like it’s just Apple but the whole industry has been down this year. For some context (!! context - what's that ??), here is global data from Statista on quarterly personal computer sales globally:

Boy that sounds really awful… oh wait
The 8/256 M2 was $1299 while the 8/512 M2 was $1499 so Apple only increased the price by $100.
The first time buyers need something to upgrade to eventually, and there are a lot of 27” iMac owners that refuse to go down to the 24”I think they are looking to draw in more first time iMac buyers, or even the upgraders from the intel iMacs
