Mac Studio base model is on sale again for $1500 until 5/22. I wonder if they must have an overstock of these?

I notice the Ultra is *not* on sale like it was earlier in the month (as mentioned earlier in the thread, though, it’s out of stock. Perhaps that sale accomplished its purpose. Granted, there was probably much less inventory to begin with of the Ultra, I’d guess.)

So if anyone in Canada is interested, Costco has a sale on which brings the base Mac Studio down to just under $2000CDN, which is about $1460USD. It's $500 off any purchase of $2500 or more, so it's a good value for the base studio which is listed at $2490CDN (add a $10 item to get the discount).

I was going to toss in AppleCare, but noticed that Costco doubles the base warranty to two years, so not sure if I would...

Setting up my Costco Mac Studio right now. Still shipped with Monterey, so... clearly left Apple a while ago.

I traded in my M1 Mac mini through Costco and they gave me $300 credit. Still waiting for their price adjustment (credit) for my purchase of the Studio.

I am shocked on how quickly this studio boots/reboots to the log in screen. I have never seen a computer do that so quickly.

My MacBook Pro uptime is 14 days. I generally only reboot my M1 Macs for updates or installs which require a reboot. Part of the faster booting is macOS. Monterey boots my 2015 MacBook Pro much faster than I can recall on older operating systems.

I never see the Apple logo because my LG monitor can't connect fast enough at the startup. :) My startup is about 5 s. I only see the log in screen.

UPDATE, I waited 13 days from the shipping date to see if I would get the credit to my debit account that I was told that I would receive. (paid full price for Studio with promise to receive credit after ship date). Today a young lady said that 24 - 48 hours I should see the credit. Costco ONLINE & warehouse are seperate operations...... I had no idea. AS OF 5-30 the CREDIT has posted!

Checked Costco site and found nothing about this. Maybe I'm looking to the wrong place?

Studio Display is on sale at $1350 as well “while supplies last”. (I’m not reading anything into ”while supplies last” I guess).

Supply didn't last. The ultra (or mega or whatever the top one is called) is sold out at Costco.

The Ultra is out of stock bu tthe base is still for sale online. I was at my local store and didn't check the Mac table.
