Did you just join Costco to purchase the Studio?

No, been a member since 2010. Called them to try and figure out why it was cancelled. Both my shipping address and billing address on credit card are the same. Then, while on the phone with them, the studio goes out of stock. I told them now I can't even purchase what I wanted, because of their cancellations on me.
They were pretty unhelpful. What's worse is the Apple Display promo discounts didn't even go through. Tried getting them to at least apply that and have it shipped. They said once the order was delivered, then I should call and they would credit me. I said my entire purchase got cancelled, how does that make sense? Kept trying to add the monitors in the cart, but never got it to deduct the $150. Asked them while I'm on the phone with them if they could at least correct that. Kept getting unhelpful, non-answers.

Anyway, long story short, I got so frustrated that I just said forget it.
I was pretty annoyed, but no amount of discount is worth the amount of frustration I went through with their online site.

Maybe this BS was a blessing in disguise. We'll see what they announce on Monday.

I just saw it this weekend and it was sold out. I was pissed - my 2014 mini is aging badly and I'm looking to replace that. I would've jumped on this even though I didn't need the Studio. The configuration I'm looking at for a mini is about $2K.

Thanks... I'm going to tale a look at it. Now I just have to get around the external storage issue.
Yeah I ordered the m2 max studio with 1tb SSD and the education discount was $-200 but the SSD the upgrade was $180, so basically a wash.

I bought a T7 shield and use it in exfat format for PC and Mac, and so far it has handled well. It was on sale a few weeks ago on Amazon for $220 for 4TB, but I missed the deal but still paid only $250.

They still have this deal at my local store (Nashua NH). I was there this morning and they had the M1 Max Studio for $1,499. They had the M2 mini for $499, limit 2 per customer. I did not see the M1 Ultra Studio. They had that in weeks past for $3,199 I think in the past. I already have one and one is enough for me.

They have it on sale now at Costco... M2 Pro mac mini. It's like $150 off.
