great!

really looking forward to hear your first impressions and daily use impressions ..

meanwhile one more visit to the store to drool over before I press the "order" button .. :)

As I said a few days ago I come from using MBA 2011 and now I have MB 12" 1.1 and I am very satisfied with his performance.

I usually use Safari(6-7 tabs), iTunes, Spotify, Mail, tweetbot, Fantastical, all at once, and the computer does it all without problem
The retina display is amazing, and something that had not voted, the sound is brutal, the speakers are great

The point is the only USB-C port, but I bought the Apple HDMI Hub adapter, and solved

I thought the 12 "would not enough, when I used before 13", but it looks great

I don´t use the MB to edit RAW or videos, only as basic user, and the MB works perfect. And about the design...what to say.... Space Grey Rules!!!! iPhone6s- iPad and Macbook in same color

Fan on the MacBook Pro stay at 0 rpm until temperature doesn't go above 40 degrees Celsius, so during light usage (Mail, Safari and office) it is absolutely silent.
The fan is always on....

As you can see, with 36 degrees Celsius the fan is at 0 rpm
Well, I am shocked. I haven't seen this mentioned in any review and only played with new 13" rMBP at the Apple store a bit.

It's not, according to mine (and several other owners of 2015 MBP 13") ...
Maybe the Broadwell CPU is very cool under light usage (in this very moment I'm reading 37°C and 0 RPM while I'm surfing the web).

My main gripe with the rMB is the price, for just a few hundred more dollars you can get the rMBP. Unless extreme portability is very high on your priorities, i think the rMBP is the better machine for your money.

On a purely cosmetic theme, I'm going with Space Grey

I really debated for a while between space grey and silver. In the end I went with silver because I felt it would be the least noticeable. Though if I upgrade when the next iteration is released I might go with space grey.

Anyway, have fun with the rMB. It's a fantastic little computer! :) I've been consistently surprised how much it can handle, at least for my work flow. Have fun!

Anybody tried gaming? How is the performance? Planning to return my air 11 for this... Im planning to use it for basic photoshop and ragnarok thru wineskin.. And some facetime with my son when im at work...

That's cool, but as long as it handles photoshop really well then that's fine for me

How does the rMB handle garage band and iMovie basic editing? Have a 2009 MbPro I want to replace.

rMB....

The lack of ports is a bit of a pain, but most stuff can connect via bluetooth or WIFI these days, unless you know you use the ports a lot the Macbook is a better machine in everything but CPU, but CPU doesn't really matter these days... they're all quick enough for most general use unless you're a specific niche user (gamer, run a lot of video editing, etc.).
