The Touch Bar is very useful in apps, I recently brought a 13" MacBook Pro 2019 with the Touch Bar, I've got use to it so much so that when I use 2012 iMac I look down to see where the Touch Bar is and then realise there isn't one.
Apps like Pixelmator Pro work really well with the Touch Bar.

Rather than getting rid of it, I hope Apple bring it to the iMac in the next redesign, obviously on the keyboard.
which version do you have of the 2019? any issues/complaints? etc..

Apple will probably put Kaby Lake Refresh CPU's in them. It's the Apple thing to do.
Yes, probably Whiskey Lake. Also same display, fat bezel, 8GB/128GB base config etc.
I would get it if it was Ice Lake with lpddr4, though.

I hope the scissor switch keyboard rumor for the 2019 MBA is true, and that the logic board issues are fixed. Looking forward to trying that new keyboard in store.

An happy with my 2017 MBA, and can wait to upgrade a couple of years to a comparable keyboard. It would be quite nice to have something as durable and pleasant to type on going forward though.

Seems odd to me that they'd keep the model without Touch Bar around. It has a confusing place in the line-up.

It'll be interesting to see whether these will be Whiskey Lake/Amber Lake/Comet Lake (still Skylake-based) or Ice Lake, in which case we should see a nice boost. There doesn't appear to be a new -Y generation other than Ice Lake.
They won’t, the entry model and MacBook Air JUST got refreshed, it doesn’t make sense for another one. Perhaps a spec bump but I wouldn’t put much weight into this RUMOR since we just had a refresh in said models a week ago.
