If its a macbook air with 4 gigs of ram, its most likely mine.
If its apple 27 inch cinema displays, two of them are most likely mine

Don't see how they would be able to put a Core i3 or better in the refreshed MBA's... the 13" MBP's didnt get it due to space right?
Either way, good to see that the MBA's aren't getting discontinued (for now!) after the iPad launch.
The MacBook Air does everything I need a computer to do. I don't need the power of a MacBook Pro, and I will gladly pay extra for the extreme portability of the MacBook Air that is beautiful and the perfect portable Mac.
I hope I can give Apple about $3K this week for a fully loaded BTO MacBook Air.
How does it have extreme portability when it has the same footprint as the 13" MacBook Pro and 80% of its thickness? It is somewhat lighter though.

i think this will be the deciding factor as whether or not to get a MBP or MBA update, i only ask Stevie for a few things
- Intel Core i7 @ 2.53GHZ
- 4GB DDR3 RAM
- nVidia 330M with 512MB DDR3 VRAM
- 500GB 7200RPM HDD or 512 SSD
- 3 USB Ports, MiniDisplay Port, Headphone Jack (Standard 3.5)
- Über-Thin Glass Screen
- Glass Trackpad
- Liquid Cooling System
Am i asking for too much?![]()
if Stevie did do this i would quite happily chuck £3000 his way for one of these beasts, although, thinking about it, has anyone thought about the possibility of a 15" MBA? As months ago, there were rumours about one surfacing :O
or does it say somewhere in the model number that it is definitely a 13" device?
I'm pretty sure he was joking.
And congradtulationals, uuu are an gramarr Nazi.
EDIT:
ZING.
Yawn. Who buys Airs other than pretentious people who think it looks good? Why would anyone spend more money for less power, less functionality and thickness that is 80% of the MacBook Pro at its thickest point, which is the critical benchmark.
Apple should yank the optical drive from the MacBook Pro 13, add another hard drive (large mechanical + smaller SSD is the way to go) and make it a bit thinner with an i5 or i7 and a bigger fan. Now I would pay a premium for that.
the only way i can see that if that is because the Air is a considered a more superior product than the 13" MB(not really a pro). This is how things were the the Air first came out. I miss those days. Well, it will command a price hike of course....Still, IMO i don't think that it will get the i3.
Very exciting, very exciting!![]()
Lets just hope this is a worthwhile update.![]()

ok, the MacBook Air will never be use as a regular laptop as I use my Macbook Pro, So, it please put all the components of my iPad inside that machine, drop the price to $700 for the entry model, and I will buy 5 of them. As it is it will never be a great option. Do the math and you will get an iPad with OS X and a Keyboard WAAAAAYYY OVER priced.![]()
If you expect those specs, I predict you will not be happy.

The least Apple should do is put an SD card slot somewhere. The lone USB port is not good enough for a laptop, plus the fact the space is very tight. Also, use the same headphone/mic combo jack that supports the iPhone earbud with remote. 128GB SSD should be the standard by now in addition to 4GB RAM. I don't think Apple can do much on the processor.

If its as worthwhile as their MB (Pro) 'update' (chuckle)then we are all gonna be very disappointed yet again as Apple fail to put any pro spec into anything these days.
And in all respect, one can happily argue that spec-to-spec, people who buy macs are spending more money for less power (not taking the OS into account, of course).
While I doubt that this question should be dignified by an answer, surely the reason for the Air is its weight, or lack of it. If you don't need the power of a MacBook Pro then why bunk around the extra weight. Surely that would be the most pretentious thing.
