MacBook Airs Coming 'Late Next Week'

MacRumors? I heard MacFacts was pretty good, but a bit slow on the uptake with news and all.
 
I predict that someone will make a prediction and if it's wrong, they will make a new prediction and keep doing so until they get it right, and then say "I told you so."
 
Darn. I was really hoping for a release either today, tomorrow, or saturday. But I guess it's no big deal. I mean, how worse can it get? At least they aren't delaying it till August......

Two weeks later.......... It just got worse.
 
It amazes me that there are so many people on the inside who know about this, yet nobody has said anything that is completely certain like, "Apple Employee Says BLANK." Apple sure is running it tight - don't want them secrets unleashed.
 
I miss the question marks behind rumor stories headlines on the front page ... Those were the days!
 
Eh... Firstly, I saved up money... I saved all my salaries for quite a while thinking like "ok, don't worry, it's better this way, you can buy higher version, just wait". Then I was like "ok, there isn't anything like too much money, right?" And then, I bought a car... Now, it seems like I'm gonna save up money once again for MBA. This is just insane.
 
i've already sold my MBP and old PC.. been going computer-less at home.. hopefully for just another week... BRING IT! :)

Funny how people seem to forget what a "rumor" is:

that's the beauty of the way Apple does things. They don't give dates until the last possible moment (if at all) so you can't really call anything 'delayed' because you don't know what the plan was.

for example, they said that Lion would be released in July. That means all the way up to July 31st is 'on time' even if they had thought to release it July 1 but changed their minds. Which is something we will never know about.


It's annoying to us but it avoids the negative PR of saying July 1, then saying "uh no actually it will be july 15th" then "no wait it will be July 31" and so on.

That question assumes there are a massive amount of units waiting to be shipped out. Or that they ever intended to put Lion on them before say September.
 
next MacBook Air w/ retina?

The 11 inch screen on the MacBook Air with a retina resolution display would be impossible to resist, for me anyway. That would definitely make it mob-worthy! And since it'll inevitably happen, Apple® should just "eat it's peas" and start making it now so I don't have to keep waiting.
 
I'm gonna make my wife hate me between the new MBA, rumored update to the iPad, and the next gen iPhone. That's like 4 months rent in Apple products.

Well, dude.... I think that's why they call it a 'rumor' as oppsed to a 'fact'. There is a difference between a rumor and a fact. Check the english language dictionary and you will discover by definition.

If rumors are so disturbing for you, perhaps don't read the news at all. Wait until SJ gets up on stage to announce fact. Then you will be less irritated and have peace of mind! ;)
